About this deal

According to the Marvel Universe Appendix, the events of the Marvel US comics take place on Marvel Earth-91274. Spin-offs during this period included The Transformers: Bumblebee #1–4 (2009–2010), The Transformers: Ironhide #1–4 (2010), The Transformers: Drift #1–4 (2010), The Transformers: Infestation #1–2 (2011) and The Transformers: Heart of Darkness #1–4 (2011); the last two of which, by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning, set up the final arc of the Costa ongoing, leading into another "soft reboot" of sorts. New Avengers/Transformers #1-4 (2007) — A crossover series with the 2005 IDW continuity version of the Transformers. None of the invading Decepticons resemble the ten Decepticons later shown to compose Megatron's crew.

Each year's BotCon box set of toys also included a full comic issue, telling a story featuring that year's crop of toy exclusives. Many were "jumping off" points for later prose stories or magazine comics, and even included all-new continuities, most notably the "Shattered Glass" "mirror universe" series. Most years, these comics were reprinted with extra ancillary material and sold in comic shops later in the year. We don’t know whether Marvel UK was offered the opportunity to publish Transformers: Generation 2 and turned it down, prompting Hasbro to go to Fleetway, or whether Fleetway was the favoured licensee from the outset. What we do know is that Fleetway’s G2 launched in September 1994, two months before the publication of the final Marvel UK Transformers special. It’s likely that the terms of Marvel UK’s license allowed it to continue publishing Transformers comics until the end of the year but not beyond. Question Why do you feel continuity suffered more instead of less, between Marvel UK and US when you took over the US book?"

Having launched Unicron by stating it would be the conclusion of their ongoing Transformers universe, in December 2018 IDW announced a new continuity to replace it. [1]Transformers & Action Force: Vedergällning - Mainly the first collection of Marvel UK's original Action Force strips since the 1980s, this hardcover also includes the Ancient Relics crossover, as well as Ladies' Night, What's in a Name and Grudge Match. Kit, Borys (21 January 2022). "IDW to Lose 'G.I. Joe,' 'Transformers' License at End of 2022 (Exclusive)". The Hollywood Reporter . Retrieved 16 April 2022. Volume 1 features Optimus Prime, Megatron, Hot Shot, Jolt, Cyclonus and Crumplezone. Volume 2 introduces Scavenger and Rollbar vs. the Mini-Con Destruction Team and Starscream. The third volume features the Mini-Con Air Defense Team captured by Galvatron before being rescued by Optimus Prime and Jetfire. In the final volume, Optimus Prime, Overload and Roll Out face off against Galvatron who combines with Tidal Wave.

The Transformers (Marvel US) #1-80 (1984–1991) — The original Transformers comic book series, published in the 1980s and later reprinted by Titan Books and IDW Publishing. It also spawned mutually-contradictory sequel series under the Generation 2 and Classics franchises and IDW's Regeneration One. Primarily written by Bob Budiansky, before Simon Furman took over with issue #56. Transformers: Galaxies #1–12 (2019–2020)— An anthology of side stories, focusing on adventures far away from the action on Cybertron. Let us never forget our primary purpose -- to spare this world from the scourge we have unwittingly unleashed upon it!" The Transformers: Autocracy #1–12 (digital, 2012), The Transformers: Monstrosity #1–12 (digital, 2013)/#1–4 (print, 2013), The Transformers: Primacy #1–4 (print, 2014) — Tales set during the early war, by writers Chris Metzen and Flint Dille and artist Livio Ramondelli.Mass-market Transformers comics more or less took a hiatus in English-language markets until after the turn of the century, but Japan would see a brief resurgence in the late 90s. Following the success of their imported version of Beast Wars, Kodansha published serialized manga in their Comic Bom Bom monthly anthology book for the Japanese sequel series Beast Wars II, Beast Wars Neo, and Beast Wars Metals (Takara's version of the latter half of Hasbro's Beast Wars franchise). But sales of all three series were low and getting lower all the time, and Takara took another break from mainstream Transformers comics for a few years. For the last few issues of Volume 1, the Transformers: Universe toy line logo was used on the cover.
