Krystal makes her first debut where she is introduced as the editor in chief of the magazine The SCENE. Krystal in particular remarks how much she loved the girls' cheerleader uniforms and wants to interview one of the girls about it. She runs each of them through a personalized interview, where she learns more about them all and their talents. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Krystal chose Ruby to be on the cover and to have the interview. Being very keen on fashion designs, Jett and Lily are revealed to be close friends. Jett in particular talks of Lily's grandmother to Amaya, as she saw how slow and carefully she works. Bella and Avery became close friends when they bonded about feeling unsure of their friendships, with Avery opening up about Ainsley shutting her out. To mend their feelings, Avery takes Bella out on a joy ride in her car, bonding them and cheering them both up. Krystal is shown hosting a club for writing for The SCENE, offering new positions to Karma and Violet. While she offers Karma to interview Jett, she instead asks Violet to learn all about Rainbow High's crest. After a long day of looking, Violet writes a well informed article, causing Krystal to give her an official position. Krystal appears yet again after Karma asks her to grab the runway group's fashions for Amaya's runway group. She is then greatly thanked by her, who grabs the clothes and leaves while hurrying to get to the show.
