It doesn’t miss a beat from beginning to end, winding its way effortlessly through a vibrant, colourful, and engaging soundscape that twists and turns with the kind of fluidity that you wish all ‘epics’ of this length could muster. Citadel" (5:52) plaintive piano play opens this song--reminding me of the genius that was Freddie Mercury when Cody enters to sing.

Either way, there are echoes of the first song within ‘Pt I’, most notably, the sensationally addictive chorus that builds upon a line uttered in the opener: ‘If life is a wheel, please let it spin’. However, the myriad of clever ideas, interesting time signatures, and atmospheres means it keeps my attention each and every time I press play. As Fearless rises up, the music follows along with him with powerful and lush chords and vocals that soar through multiple octaves. Every drum hit, every chord, every tinkling keyboard note, and every bass string pluck can be heard and enjoyed.

Kevin fingerpicks his way through a stunning chord progression that keeps your mind at ease the entire time. Pulling narrative inspiration from Dune, Arthurian folklore, the Mars rover expedition, and "hypothetical astrophysics," Fearless is nothing less than Crown Lands' application to be the new Rush-and according to Comeau's hero-turned-texting buddy Alex Lifeson, the job is theirs for the taking.
