Limited omnibus editions have 24 issues in a slipcase with several extras. The first volume is signed by Kirkman and Adlard. There are 300 of this edition. Later volumes were released with 3000 pieces each. There is also a deluxe limited edition (signed by Kirkman/Adlard) with 300 pieces available. While the comic and the TV show have many similarities, they also have many differences. Much of this comes from translating an ongoing comic series into a seasonal television show. Creative and budgetary decisions means that the AMC series would often deviate from the source material in it’s own way, with it’s closeness fluctuating a lot over its run.

Credit must be given also to Charlie Adlard for his reliably impressive art from portraying the grim brutality of the world the characters live in to dealing with powerful emotional scenes. It takes skill to provoke a reaction from a reader with nothing more than a few panels of dialogue free art but Adlard makes it look easy. The unfairly overlooked Cliff Rathburn deserves credit too for his gray tones, The Walking Dead much like Romero's Night of the Living Dead just doesn't/wouldn't look right in colour. Hace un tiempo que le tenía ganas a la novela gráfica en la cual se basaba la famosa serie de TV (la cual dejé en su segunda temporada). Al finalizar el confinamiento, me decidí a coger un volumen de los de edición integral, pues los tiempos no son para estar yendo y viniendo con cosas de la biblioteca; precisamente. Y ello, me daba la oportunidad de poder apreciarlo con más detenimiento, si se daba el caso que me invitaba a continuar con su lectura..y así ha sido.
