About this deal

Underwear is way more fun when it features your kids’ favorite character. If your toddler is into Minnie, then this set of seven Disney training pants will be a hit. These are also available in smaller sets of three, though you’ll need a fair amount of training pants in the beginning so you always have a clean pair on hand when accidents happen. Training pants mimic the feel of regular undies, and the main difference is that they’re made of a much more absorbent material so the spillage won’t be as bad. You may find yourself in a beautiful house, with a beautiful spouse, and you may ask yourself, "Well, how did I get this weird turtle who poops?” Yes, potty training can be a strange time, but Shelbert the “Turdle” (can’t make this up) is here to make things a little more fun for your toddler. It comes with its very own potty, and after you feed it a reusable pink sandy substance, it says “Uh oh, gotta go!” and then poops in the toilet (yes, there are sound effects). If your toddler doesn’t even want to step into the bathroom, keeping a special potty training toy like this one in there can be helpful. Thanks. I was trying to avoid Pulls Up so she didn't get in habit of relying on them as a safety net if that makes sense. I did think of leaving pants on under them if I did use them though, as at least them she'd have the wet feeling (which she doesn't get with just Pull Ups alone).

I totally understand this and is a realistic option for many parents and families, and maybe the right call. To keep things neater and cleaner, you can line the travel potty seat with a plastic bag or a disposable diaper, then tie it up and toss it out at your next stop.

I'm so glad I took the time to put down a waterproof seat cover. It not only protects the car seat, but it also serves as a visual reminder that she must potty before getting into the car.

It’s helpful for toddlers to get familiar with using the toilet by reading about it or seeing pictures of storybook characters (ideally their favorites, like Daniel Tiger) using the potty. In Daniel’s Potty Time the little tiger learns a hard lesson every kid (and honestly, every adult) needs to face at some point: It’s important to go to the bathroom before leaving the house. I have been a bit cheeky with her this nap time. I have left her pants on and put the Pulls Ups over them. The reason behind it isn't being mean really, but seeing if she is just waiting to wee in her Pulls Up and not on potty. If this is the case I imagine her calling out to me very soon as she HATES having wet pants. What did I say!!! As I typed originally she called out for me saying that she wanted a wee. Lo and behold, I got her Pull Ups/pants down so she could sit ont he potty - but they were already wet! Some days she may not wee much though, sometimes her body will use more water than others. And other times she will hold on to it for hours then do one almighty wee that you think might never end!! DS only goes about 2/3 times a day (and poos once a day) but DD goes every hour or so, I think it's just down to individual 'holding' mechanisms. Oh and when DD was napping I used to listen really carefully and as soon as I heard her stirring I used to rush in with the potty and plonk her in it half asleep. Seemed to work
