i have finally come to the conclusion that RK can’t be British because if she was, she’d know that if Remi really went to a British school/uni, he’d get bullied so severely he’d contemplate killing himself at the end of each day. inaccurate British representation😔💔 So... my previous review was extremely ugly, and I didn't even write immediately when I read this book because I was confused AF about whether I liked it or not, and I was mostly out of my mind too! Moreover, after reading Iqra's review, I felt provoked to write one as well! 🤌🏻 overall this was a cute start to the series, we really got a glimpse of everyone's individual personalities and the series is only going to get better and better.the way killian had to keep repressing himself from murdering glyn 😍🥰 his self-control is unmatched I did not know how this one was going to go for me. I didn't know if I would ever try Rina Kent again. But I'm not too big to admit I was wrong and I will be continuing this series for sure. In the short story The Laughter of Dark Gods in the Warhammer anthology Ignorant Armies, there is also a reference to an unnamed albino Malal Chaos Champion and his warband roaming the Chaos Wastes. This Champion is slain by the novel's main character. The most recent work to make use of the Sons of Malice, the novel Cadia Stands by Justin D. Hill, no longer makes any reference to the Warp entity Malice being worshipped or serving as the divine patron among the Sons of Malice.

how different Killian feels and is for Glyndon. Since he’s a certified psycho, he gets surprised with himself at how obsessed he becomes with her and any type of emotions he feels for her. He’s never cared for girls, never had girlfriends, never wanted to be in a relationship, and, well, no he does 💁🏻‍♀️. She might say no, but he doesn’t care 😂. They’re together whether she likes it or not 🙃 manipulating a suicidal girl by saving her life and asking her to repay him by giving him a blowjob #romance Rina, boo, just live out your rape fantasy irl. You don't have to include it in *every* book to make your heroes "edgey." as far as the plot goes, it didn’t really exist and what there was, wasn’t anything too interesting to be honest. the conflict at the end could have been avoided if killian just told glyn the truth, instead of hiding it and looking even more suspect I quite enjoy Rina's book and I don't have a ton of strong opinions about second-generation books, but here we are diving right in.

I like that Killian was a BORN psychopath and that the reason he was able to get away with so much is that he was good at masking and had parents that loved him. He was not a good dude but I did enjoy his antics and his obsession with Glyndon. id like to formally apologise to this man for comparing him to Remi😔🥲 you didn’t deserve that shit, bby. This one is a standalone with all the steam. It's probably Rina's longest book and it's all worth it. I mean for me, any amount of words by rina are not enough, like I am always left wanting more and same was the case in this one! I want the next book so bad. I already have so many couples in my head, let's see which ones we get! Definitely recommending this one to all the high school dark romance loving people. It's full of triggers like non con, dub con, suicide talks and lot more so please keep that in mind as well. I will not lie when all the characters were introduced I forgot a bit about our main characters and I had to remind myself that this book is about them. But it's only because I can't wait to read about all new characters, or almost all of them, because not everyone is supposed to have a book. Hopefully Rina will give characters who won't have the book in this series their own stories in another series, like Knox from RES.

Just wow! Loved both MCs so much ❤️. The character development was phenomenal and they both grew so much - together. Glyn intrigues him when no one has ever caught his interest before. How good she is and how she sees beauty. She quiets his storm, while he makes her stronger. The book is really not heavy storyline-wise, there's a whole lot of introduction to the new cast of characters and kind of laying out the lay of the land for the coming books, but 🤷🏻‍♀️. Still giving it 5 stars, because Killian was the best psycho hero I've read in a long time, and Glyn was literally his perfect pairing, lol. If you're a fan of psychos, dubcon, OTT controlling heroes with more than a dash of crazy, you're going to love this one too!

I have to say it took me a bit to get into this one. There was quite a bit of world building and introducing characters and storylines that I'm sure will play out in subsequent books in the series. Maybe a little too heavy handed for book one, but I learned after reading that the parents(and grandparents) of these kids already have their own books so perhaps for experienced Rina Kent readers, they're familiar with all these names. RK's dramatic flair for doom and gloom is actually leaking out of this book's every orifice, I kid you not: Just one book out and I probably have a billion couples in my head already, so much steam, so much chemistry. I mean it's tough for me to choose who to ship with whom 🤣 and what about Jonathan as a grandpa??!!! OMG. Jeremy and Cecily OR Jeremy and Landon... hear me out! rivals to lovers. the rival leaders of the Elites and the Heathens???? falling in love? yes🤲🏻 Death of peace of mind — bad omens (TMI — the last part of the song genuinely scared me the first time I listened to it lmao my heart fr skipped a beat 💀 I wasn’t expecting it and I couldn’t stop pissing myself laughing bc of my reaction😭)
