About this deal

Instruction – this is the full written direction for the junction. So in the case of our crossroads the Instruction would be “Turn right at Crossroads” (if there is a signpost we would include that as well so that could be Turn Right at Crossroads SP Mellor). After collecting the seeds from the dried pods, store them in the refrigerator for at least 12 to 14 weeks. In cold winter zones, tulip seeds are often planted indoors in late February. Fringed: Fringed or ruffled petal edges in many colors, sometimes with contrasting colors on the fringe; late-season bloomers with 12- to 18-inch stems. For multicolor varieties: T. biflora, T. greigii ‘Quebec’, T. praestans ‘Fusilier’ and ‘Unicum’, T. tarda, T.turkestanica

Single early: Cup-shaped with one flower per short stem; first tulips to bloom, starting late March. Sow tulip seeds on the surface of small pots filled with potting mix. Cover the seeds with a bare covering of additional potting mix (1/4 inch). Insert the bottom end of the stem through the bottom hole of the origami tulip pattern. Insert the stem from the inside of the tulip pattern. Press the glued parts of the stem against the bottom (inside) part of the tulip t secure the stem pattern with the origami tulip pattern. La Riche has also formulated a fantastic range of Shampoo's and Conditioners to help you get the most of your colour. The Pre Colour Shampoo will balance your hairs PH before dying whilst removing excess oils to ensure the best results from the Hair Colour. Whilst the Colour Care Shampoo and Conditioner have been developed to be kind to your hair and will ensure your colour lasts! Set the bulb so the pointy end is facing up. Don’t worry if you get some upside down. They should flower anyhow, but it will take them longer to come through the ground in spring and they may not be as tall as they should. If you are making this origami flower with younger kids, this is where you stop as stem is a bit more advanced.

Kaufmanniana: Also known as the water lily tulip, early bloomers with wide-open flowers that are almost flat; leaves have brownish-purple mottling; short plants, only 6 to 12 inches tall. Leaving the latter aside (these are used only on the Fellsman event and that has alternative Route Books for those not comfortable with full navigation) the normal route book is the Tulip style as used on the St Georges Day Run and Coast to Coast. If it rains weekly, do not water. However, if there is a dry spell and it does not rain, you should water the bulbs weekly until the groundfreezes. Darwin hybrid: Cross between Darwin and Fosteriana; tall stems (24 inches) and very hardy; naturalize well; late-season, blooming into May. Griegii: Short (8 to 12 inches), early-season bloomers with flared, pointed petals and wavy leaves; brightly colored, including some bi-colors.We often also have a Route Information Book which tells entrants something about the places they drive through on the event. You can read these on the day or save them for later. See this link
