Umm…yes. After the change from the Balance Datasheet, this battleforce box is looking pretty spicy. Enjoy the updated Core units in the box and use it as a freshly awoken Necron force. You’ve got lots of room to grow with some solid options you’re going to find a use for all the time. The Raven Guard favour lightning strikes, and therefore make extensive use of the streamlined Phobos armour – perfect for grabbing the last turkey and making a swift getaway. Chapter Master Kayvaan Shrike leads this strike force from the front, supported by a Librarian in Phobos Armour . Whilst the Sisters of Battle are firm in their faith, it doesn’t mean they don’t need correction from time to time. The Sister Dogmata is feared by both enemy and friend, as she is the only Adepta Sororitas who can condemn a sister to the Repentia. On the battlefield, she strikes at foes with her mace whilst exhorting the Battle Sisters to even greater feats of valour. Sceptre of Vengeance - The Sceptre of Vengeance was the huge, heavy power mace wielded by Saint Ophelia in hand-to-hand combat. Its head is wreathed in a shimmering flame which leaves a trail of fiery sparks as it swings through the air. The Ossiarch Bonereapers collect this tithe, often by force, as Tithe-echelons march to battle led by fearsome and canny Mortisan commanders. Dissidents are extinguished with extreme force, while formations of Mortek Guard and towering Necropolis Stalkers march inexorably forward, replenished by Gothizzar Harvesters as they fall. Reap a bountiful bonetithe with this powerful collection.

In Combat Patrol these units all have slightly different rules from their main Index entries. This balances them against other Combat Patrol boxes, and makes them slightly easier to use, but they perform similar roles.Having reviewed the 40k battleforce value there’s definitely something for fans of the armies on offer, but it feels like they’re targeted towards new players, or those that havent’t already got the named characters. They aren’t all fantastic but theres some strong foundations and averaging about 33% savings isn’t to be sniffed at. If you want to get the biggest 40k battleforce value then the Thousand Sons, Knights and Custodes are your best options in our opinion – but what do you think the best box is this year? Chaos Sisters of Battle

Neural Whip - These psycho-conductive neural whips are often carried by Mistresses of Repentance and are as much symbols of rank as they are vicious weapons that can slice open armour and flesh alike. Not a bad starter force or an addition to an existing one. Standard Sisters and Sacresants, but the draw here are the 2 tanks. The Immolator is cool but nothing beats what GW have described as a “long-range, missile-launching pipe organ cum-temple” no, Seriously, they did. (cue childing giggling) Imperial fists don’t have a big top dog like the other factions, but this box will still be a great starting point for new players. Battleforce: Raven Guard – Ravenstrike Battle Force The following statement comes from the Codex: Sisters of Battle (2nd Edition): "A sign of the Sisters' strength is the fact that in their entire history only a single Sister, Miriael Sabathiel, has fallen to the lure of Chaos.
