About this deal

The democratic and humanistic principles spread by Scandinavian design and the sensitivity to materials and to researching and employing traditional methods are an important and influential part of design history. It’s worth diving into Scandinavian design, including its history, context and connotations, to discover all that it has to offer. They were both members of “ Kristiania-bohemene” (the Kristiana Bohemians), which was a group of Oslo-based academics, students, artists and writers. History of Swedish Scandinavian Folk Art Traditions and Common Motifs

It is important to remember that these styles were created retroactively by historians to group art styles by certain characteristics. The boundaries between them are not always clear cut. Norwegian folk art Swedish folk art is known for its bright colours and whimsical designs, often incorporating playful scenes and motifs. The Viking culture had a Pagan belief system, which was dominantly the Scandinavian belief system. However, the Vikings would have encountered Christianity during their raids of various monasteries along the coasts of England. The Viking culture eventually adopted the Christian belief system.
