About this deal

U.S. Agent ( John Walker) is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, usually those starring Captain America and the Avengers. Created by Mark Gruenwald and Paul Neary, the character first appeared in Captain America #323 (November 1986) as Super-Patriot. [1] He was later redesigned as an incarnation of Captain America and a few years later, as U.S. Agent. Walker ran triumphantly onto the stage for his interview with Sara Haines of Good Morning America. During the interview, a rundown of Walker's military career was televised, and that he excelled in all of the trials that the United States Army put him though in preparation for taking on the Captain America mantle. Walker expressed that he had big shoes to fill, and looked up to Steve Rogers as an idol, following his career closely while he was an Avenger. [3] Chase of the Flag Smashers [ ] The murder of a man without trial causes a further schism with the Avengers, who blame the New Invaders for declaring open war on Mazikhandar. Namor responds that Mazikhandar had declared war on his nation when they decided to pollute the oceans. [77]

Enhanced Stamina: The serum also improved Walker's endurance, which already tested off the charts according to a government study before the serum. Taking the serum allowed him to easily perform superhuman feats, as Walker was able to fight and outmatch serum enhanced members of Flag Smashers, chase down and kill Nico, flee from the scene of his murder, then go on to fight Falcon and Winter Soldier for the shield, which requiring considerable effort from the latter two; all without showing the slightest sign of tiring or exhausting. After fighting for several minutes with the Flag Smashers and falling from several meters height, Walker was able to keep running and fighting without visible strain or fatigue. Saint is revealed to have been recruited and trained as part of a secret military program that Morrie had led, and obtained the title of U.S. Agent after the role was privatized and sold off. Katie is confirmed to also have super powers obtained as a result of the same injection that grants Saint his. Both Walker and Saint fear that Katie is suffering a psychosis induced by prolonged exposure to the damaged fuel cells and intends to use the retrieved helicarrier to wipe out the town of Ephraim and its people who she professes to hate. Walker makes his way to the helicarrier standing on the wing of an old crop duster plane, at which point it is revealed that the asset hidden under the destroyed facility was not the helicarrier at all but in fact a monstrous Kaiju that destroys the plane and sends Walker plummeting towards the creature. [112]

Weapon Omega eventually realizes that he is being manipulated and that his handlers intend to continue to use him even against his will, however this is stopped by the U.S. Agent having discharged himself from the infirmary despite his severe injuries. Dr. Benning boasts that as a fail-safe had been activated, all evidence of her manipulation of Weapon Omega had been destroyed. It is at this point that Omega reveals that one of the individuals whose powers he had absorbed had been a technopath, and that he had accessed all of Benning's confidential records and sent them to Tony Stark. Weapon Omega then exposes Benning to a glimpse of the hundreds of personalities within his being, leaving her in a vegetative state. He then vows to become a hero rather than a weapon and is last seen assisting the people of Alaska—the location where his powers had first manifested, resulting in the deaths of the original Alpha Flight team. [83] Mighty Avengers [ edit ] U.S. Agent was severely beaten to near death by Protocide. Due to emergency medical procedures performed on him, he was outfitted, by S.H.I.E.L.D., with an enhancing exo-skeleton. [68] S.T.A.R.S [ edit ] Wait, John. If he can talk her down, it might be worth a try." ―Captain America and Battlestar [src]

Still embittered by his discharge, and motivated by his partner's death, Walker returned home and forged his own version of Captain America's shield. He finished it by welding the medals he had won throughout his military career on the inner face of the shield and then painting the outer face in the colors of the American flag. [8] b) If you want to end the contract because of something we have done or have told you we are going to do, further details can be found in clause 1.2; U.S. Agent was meant to receive an action figure in Toy Biz's Iron Man tie-in toyline. While it initially did not make it to mass market in the U.S. it was eventually released in international markets before the company released it as a convention exclusive. You wouldn't be worried about how it might... how it might change you?" ―John Walker and Lemar Hoskins [src]John Walker was born in the fictional town of Custer's Grove, Georgia. He grew up idolizing his older brother, Mike, a helicopter pilot who died in the Vietnam War in 1974. John wanted to live up to Mike's memory, who was idolized by their parents, and so he later enlisted in the military. John served at Fort Bragg, [6] but only served during peacetime and thus never became the hero that he perceived Mike to have been. Artificially Enhanced Physiology: After being decisively defeated in a scuffle with the Dora Milaje, Walker became worried that his combat skills weren't as Captain America. When Walker found the Super Soldier Serum on the ground, he injected himself. His peak human physical prowess was enhanced to the pinnacle of human evolutionary potential; allowing him to push and perform superhuman level feats. In his first costumed identity as the Super Patriot, Walker wore a costume that was capable of stopping multiple shots from a handgun at point-blank range, [10] and also used throwing stars and a flame torch. [8] The U.S. Agent also wears synthetic stretch bulletproof fabric.

The manner of his appointment to the West Coast Avengers team, and his own abrasive attitude, saw U.S. Agent frequently come into conflict with his colleagues, in particular the headstrong Hawkeye (Clint Barton), which culminated in a battle between the two that saw both suspended. [25] He later almost killed Spider-Woman (Julia Carpenter) – an ex-employee of U.S. Agent's former employers – hesitating over delivering the fatal blow before collapsing in grief – his guilt over his long history of violence catching up with him. [26] As Captain America was also desperate for leads, Captain America convinced Battlestar to continue investigating their activities, although it would go against their contractual obligations. Battlestar objected that Captain America was attempting to procure this information through corrupt off-the-book means, to which Captain America retorted that their superiors would not question them on their methods once they turned up with new information and got the job done. [6] Search for Karli Morgenthau [ ]Walker grew increasingly frustrated as the official shut down his attempts to speak and repeatedly objected that the hearing was a mandate. Walker lost his temper and raised his voice to the council, admonishing their decision by explaining that his life had revolved around the U.S. government's mandates that had been enforced on him throughout his entire career.
