About this deal

BA Paris covered all her bases shredding any and all concerns regarding the dilemma both Livia and Adam face. This is a breaks your heart kind of story that requires tissues. It’s a sad and happy story where family and friends unite together. The dilemma is a great read about family and friendships. The Dilemma follows Charlotte, desperate to be a mother and is always disappointed and a little broken by the negative pregnancy test results. But not as much as she was when she found out why it had not happened to her. So even in my description you can see how there is a lot of build up to the climax of the novel. I think that is why I dropped it a star for the drawn outness of the situation and the "irrationality" of the main characters behavior. All of her "secrets" she tried to keep from being revealed were rather selfish , like not telling the wife of Justin he was sleeping around on work vacations? Really? Charlotte's over obsession with becomin g a mother causing her to act irrationally, and her boyfriend who ultimately lied to her for ten years, suddenly is all forgiven?

The Dilemma 's opening was a relative low for the film's stars. Vaughn's previous films Couples Retreat (2009) and Four Christmases (2008) grossed twice The Dilemma 's amount on their opening weekends. James had appeared in Grown Ups (2010) and Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), both of which also had stronger openings. According to Box Office Mojo, The Dilemma was weakly advertised, especially compared to The Green Hornet. It reported, "Blink-and-you-miss-them television ads failed to convey the premise or provide laughs. Dilemma's premise of a man learning his friend's wife is cheating and debating whether to tell the friend or not wasn't much of a dilemma, and it wasn't as comedically charged as Vaughn's other relationship comedies." [15]An] evocative drama. Welcome to B.A. Paris' dilemma. It's the kind of book you can read cover to cover in one sitting, eager to see how the characters' impossible choices play out.”— Minneapolis Star-Tribune

She had now come to look on this party as an opportunity to celebrate not just her birthday, but also their relationship. But guess what! Her husband is also keeping a secret, too. Their daughter is planning to make surprising appearance at her mother’s birthday. Adam is so happy and determined to compensate his faults and wrongdoings throughout their marriage by giving his wife the most special night she deserves. And of course ending ripped my heart apart. So I’m giving my happily ever after four stars and recommend this heartbreaking journey to you. But please keep your napkins, tissues, any kind of tear driers closer and do not wail way too long like I did not to traumatize your lovely neighbors! Told from alternating POV of Adam and Livia. A misguided couple so desperate to please each other yet so dismally confused on how to accomplish it. This is the second book I have read by this author. I have also read 'The Woman On The Beach' which I would highly recommend.I want to thank Net Galley for this advanced copy listen. I was not influenced or reimburst for this honest review. I want to start with highlighting this amazing new-ish author, Julia Roberts, who is not OUR actor Julia, but a really amazing talent in her own right. Unfortunately, it failed to satisfy several readers who were expecting something as mind-blowing as her first two books.
