Isabella’s frivolous character and vivid personality were enjoyable for most of the storyline. The way her personage kept adding some surprising and little plot twists here and there brought some life and colors into the plot-line. Y'all I am dying over them! These two have the healthiest, hottest relationship out of any Ana Huang book. Ana really said, whether morally gray is your favorite OR NOT (shoutout to Twisted Lies' iconic dedication), let me give you someone you can publicly swoon over without shame because Kai mf Young is everything. Isabella was a truly unique character with a personality that was equal parts sassy, charming, and witty. I loved her sassiness and her willingness to speak her mind, even if it meant ruffling a few feathers. However, despite her confident exterior, she had her insecurities, which often affected her deeply. Overall, Isabella was a complex character that I loved for her flaws and all, and her sassy, charming, and witty personality always kept me engaged and entertained. 💜 ISABELLA is a QUEEN. She wasn't like Ana's other girl characters, where most of have a good job or are owning luxury houses. She showed the actual struggle of people who're in fields like writing, acting, singing. She expressed herself so well, and she was hilarious, I loved her.Bold, impulsive, and full of life, Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm...except for Kai Young. And he just accepts it! Double gah!! The break up just added two hours of needless angst to an already tame listen. Additionally, I can't sing praise over Ana's characters without highlighting the representation in this book. As Chinese-Filipino, I rarely see books with such representation so it was so beautiful to see it in this book and see how Ana integrated little bits of the culture throughout! My favorite character was definitely Kai. He was a reader himself, British and handsome. And he just went straight up to the top of my BBF list.

One thing that I love about Ana's books is that she writes Asian characters the way they should be written. Flawed but yet so perfect in their own way. She perfectly describes the asian culture and asian families in this. Both the MCs in this book are asian and I loved how similar their culture and families were but yet so different in their own way.
