About this deal

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary dates the events of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker as taking place one year after the " Starkiller Incident." As Star Wars: Galactic Atlas dates the Starkiller Incident to 34 ABY, it can be deduced the events of Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker take place in 35 ABY.

With the release of the new Kenobi series, came the release of a new Darth Vader helmet. Although a helmet had previously been released two different years, this one, released in May of 2022 follows the design of his helmet in the show. Shortly after Snoke insults Kylo Ren's Vader credentials, we get the helmet smashing scene, meaning Kylo's possibly believing it (TLJ makes us think, at least for a short while, that Rey can redeem him). It also has adjustable straps and padding inside, making it wearable for all head sizes. The electric voice changers make your voice sound just like the troopers seen in The Mandalorian. If you’ve ever wanted to experience the heat of battle, this helmet does just that! Luke’s visor simulates blaster blasts from enemy ships. Speakers make the sounds of blaster fire as well.

The first helmet released after one seen in a tv show was the Incinerator Stormtrooper. Based on the one seen in The Mandalorian, it matches the white with red markings on the helmet. Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of Star Wars: Episode VIII The Last Jedi, including the destruction of Kylo Ren's helmet aboard the Supremacy, to 34 ABY. The shattered fragments of his helmet were given to Albrekh, a Symeong metalsmith with close ties to the Knights of Ren. [2] At first, Ren doubted that even Albrekh's skills could repair the damage to his mask, but his concerns were allayed as he witnessed the Symeong's work. Using his knowledge of Sith alchemy and access to a Sith forge, [15] Albrekh painstakingly reconnected the helmet's pieces, using Sarrassian iron to weld them together. [2]

The Supreme Leader confronted Rey on the desert planet Pasaana. Using the Skywalker lightsaber, the Jedi apprentice disabled Kylo Ren's TIE whisper. Though unharmed in the resulting crash of his starfighter, Ren removed his helmet to breathe in fresh air. He then pursued Rey to the planet Kijimi and, aboard his Star Destroyer, revealed their connection as a dyad in the Force as well as Rey's lineage to her grandfather Sidious. In a "gesture of vulnerability" and trust, Ren removed his helmet to show his face to Rey, including the scar that she inflicted on him. [15] He also wanted her to believe that he no longer considered himself as Ben Solo "hiding in a mask." In his mind, he was only Kylo Ren. [16] Kylo Ren's reforged helmet was strengthened through Sith alchemy. Sarrassian iron was painstakingly applied between the shards of the shattered helmet, creating a bright red alchemical web [2] that resembled crimson lightning [15] or scars. [16] The resulting helmet was heavier and smelled of molten iron, [15] but was stronger than the previous version. [2] The helmet retained its ability to alter Ren's voice, giving it a "distant and mechanical" tone. [15]

Ren's helmet was a symbolic reminder of his lineage as Darth Vader's grandson, serving no practical use in his life. Although this helmet is not battle-scarred and is all white, it still includes similar features to the other Boba Fett helmet. This one also includes a range finder. The range finder still flips down and has glowing LED lights. On the interior is an illuminated heads-up display as well. In the new Star Warstrilogy, there aren't many more frightening looks than Kylo Ren's helmet. The look homages Darth Vader while spinning a new sinister appearance for the man formerly known as Ben Solo. But, why does Kylo wear the helmet? A new Star Wars comic implies its all an act to intimidate his enemies.

Kylo Ren: " I sense unease about my appearance, General Hux." Armitage Hux: " About the mask? No, sir. Well done." Bellava Parnadee: " I like it." ―Kylo Ren, Armitage Hux, and Bellava Parnadee [7] After breaking free of Snoke's rule, Kylo redons the helmet marking him as a Knight of Ren, but this time on his own terms. The reforged helmet carries the luminous webwork of Sith alchemy - its fused shards mirror the breaking and rebuilding of Kylo's identity. An eccentric Symeong, Albrekh was trained in classical metallurgy and was capable of smithing feats unheard of by the time he repaired Ren's mask. When beginning work on the object, he rubbed his hands together in anticipation then solved the puzzle of the fitting the pieces together with uncanny perception and speed. When soldering the pieces, Albrekh painstakingly applied the iron and worked with severe patience, focus, and precision. [5] With Kylo's arc coming to a close in The Rise of Skywalker (at least as far as we know as of this writing, prior to the release of the film), Driver undoubtedly had to get into a certain frame of mind when portraying the character. What helped him get there? The cast and crew, whom Driver said gave him "ideas in the moment"; the set, which he described as "so clear and beautiful and that gives so much information"; and, of course, Kylo's costume — new helmet and all. During The Rise of Skywalker, Kylo Ren remakes his helmet after visiting and pledging his service for Emperor Palpatine once again.

3. Black Series Imperial Stormtrooper Helmet

This bright white replica of the troopers’ Phase II helmets was an exciting addition announced to come out in May of this year. The voice changer allows for voice distortion, making you sound just like a reg! Driver also shared that he "definitely" experienced a sense of ownership over Kylo Ren, but never felt like he had a full "control" of him and never shut himself off to ideas about where the character would go next. This was helpful going into The Rise of Skywalker and during the making of the film, which had huge responsibilities in following up a different director's artistic vision and concluding the Star Wars story that began over 40 years ago. The sounds are voice-activated. All you have to say is “hey BB-8,” and you’ll be in the heat of the battle with X-Wings flying by and BB-8 responding to your instructions. You’ll feel as though you are flying a ship yourself. SNOKE: It was I who bridged your minds. I stoked Ren's conflicted soul. I knew he was not strong enough to hide it from you.
