About this deal

I am honestly super impressed. I loved Devney's writing. Small town romance, double pov + investigative work.

Talia Eden loved Foster Madden for one year, two months and eleven days. It was on day 438 that her love died. The day he chose to marry her best friend. The day she vowed never to think of Foster again. I love you too. Until the end of my days, Memphis. You, me, Drake. We're good, honey. We're so good. And we'll add in a bunch of babies to the mix to keep it interesting." h (heroine) rating: 3.5 stars. Winslow. I appreciated how strong she was and how she wasn’t needy with Griffin. I literally binge read this series in one day and I hate myself for finishing so fast because all I want to do now is to reread and devour this book again okay😭 I don’t know who you are or what you’re doing, but I’m having a conversation with Winnie,” Skyler said, standing taller.h (heroine) rating: 3 stars. Memphis. She was alright. As a mother myself, I related to where she could feel insecure in herself at times. Get ready for small towns stirred by mystery and desire in The Eden series, suspense-filled second story . . . Until one of Griffin's ranch hands had stumbled across a body at the base of 'Indigo Ridge.' Supposedly another suicide. www.devneyperry.com Devney is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author who lives in Washington with her husband and two sons. Born and raised in Montana, she loves writing books set in her treasured home state. After working in the technology industry for nearly a decade, she abandoned conference calls and project schedules to enjoy a slower pace at home with her family. Writing one book, let alone many, was not something she ever expected to do. But now that she’s discovered her true passion for writing romance, she has no plans to ever stop.

There isn´t that much smut in this book, so for everybody expecting that, this might be the wrong book for you. Overall Pace of Story: Good for the most part. I never skimmed and I thought it flowed well, but there were some time jumps throughout that made it seem a little odd or like I was missing something. Memphis moves into Quincy to start fresh, away from her life and her family that have betrayed her over and over. She finds her way to Juniper Hill. But that also leads her to Knox Eden. The man of her dreams. The man she's needed her entire life. The one who makes her feel seen, who listens to her and holds her up when she's down. Who loves her, for her. Unconditionally and unapologetically. And to top it off, he loves her son too. Just as much as her, as if he were his own. Overall Opinion: I thought I’d give this author another try after reading this blurb. I tend to enjoy the woman on the run type stories and with a baby, so it seemed even better! Only this wasn’t really her on the run, more like her just starting a new life sorta story. I honestly just feel indifferent to it all. It took me a while to read it and I think that’s partially because I didn’t feel like anything was really happening. The suspense element to the story happens so late in the book I feel like it was thrown in to be the conflict but wasn’t all that thought out or interesting tbh. I never really connected with the characters and I felt like I was told about their connection to each other rather than feeling it. I know lots of my GR friends love this author and this series, so it definitely can be a me thing — but I just wasn’t feeling this book 🤷🏻‍♀️ Winslow was the type of heroine I enjoy. Tough when needed but not so hard core I couldn’t relate to her. She was carrying emotional scars that were, literally, a nightmare. My heart was broken by her struggle but once I learned the full story, I was horrified as well.

Winslow Covington is the new chief of police in Quincy, Montana. On her first night in town she has a one night stand, with what they call “Quincy royalty” also know as Griffin Eden. But maybe it takes a little crazy to build a good life. If putting the past behind her requires a thousand miles and a new town, she’ll do it if it means a better future for her son. Even if it requires setting aside the glamour of her former life. Even if it requires working as a housekeeper at The Eloise Inn and living in an apartment above a garage. I absolutely loved the muder mystery in this book, I was really invested and it got to a point where I was more invested in who the killer is than the romance of the book. Some questions were left unanswered for me, but maybe they will be solved in the second book.

Griffin Eden have always lived in the small town Quincy, Montana with his whole family. They’re know as “Quincy royalty”. Griffin has now taken over his father’s ranch. On night at a bar Griffin meets a girl, he only thought she was a tourist, and that he’d never see her again. But we can all guess how that’s gonna go…
