About this deal

this book is about winter and theo, both of whom we are introduced to in prior books in the series. theo is the lovable ladies man and winter is the sister of summer from the first book. she's a doctor who has quite a bit of trauma and baggage to work thru, making her a little closed off. oh yeah and their kid. One is the real me, the other is just for show. The problem is, not very many people know the real me anymore” (BORING AND CLICHÉ) You can tell I didn't like her at all. I hated how she believed that she was not Rhett's priority because despite being dangerous, he continued doing bull riding, girl, it's his passion, I perfectly understood why Rhett didn't want to leave it.

Two childhood friends. Two broken hearts. One impromptu road trip to get away from everything. That’s all this was supposed to be. Afterall, I’ve been living in the friend zone for years now. Sloane and Jasper have been friends for 18 years. She was just a child when they met, and he was sort of adopted into the Eaton family. From the first time she saw him, though, there’s always been something there, but she’s never done anything about it. yes i wanted to bang my head against a steel door bc the smut was cringe at times and their family joking around that they’re cousins…they’re NOT!! not by blood, not even legally!! those bitches from credence were more blood related than them 😒 And when I tell you that still waters run deep with Jasper, I mean the man caught me completely by surprise. The mouth on him. And did I mention the intensity? Good lord!If you enjoy reading western/rodeo romance books, then you’ll definitely enjoy this one. I loved Rhett’s character. He was such a grump and a bit wild at the beginning of the book. He really wasn’t happy when his manager assigned his daughter, Summer, to keep an eye on him after he got into trouble with the press and his sponsors, and made life quite difficult for her. after their separation, when they have sex they don’t use condoms or even have the “i’m clean” talk 🧍🏻‍♀️are we forgetting he’s a retired hoe or what to Rhett - you managed to make hating milk a whole-ass personality trait, amazing job!! (i hate milk as well, so that's one thing we have in common and the only thing. thank god for small mercies that i don't own a ranch) Sloane has been in love with Jasper since she first laid eyes on him through a window when she was ten years old. Jasper has been pining for her for as many years. But they were always friends. Never crossed that line because they couldn’t. When her wedding goes up in flames, Jasper is there to help her through it and be exactly what she needs. And I loved every second of it. It was beautiful and comforting to watch them FINALLY acting on their feelings after years of ignoring each other, and the way I was feeling all giddy and giggling because of their sweet and wholesome moments and their sweet friendly banter and here and there touches like they just can't get enough of each other. They were always made for each other. The moment they laid eyes on each other they knew that no matter what happens its always going to be Jasper and Sloane against everything in this world.

Elsie Silver’s “Flawless” is a soulful romance that offers that balance of sweetness and spice. A spin-off from the Gold Ranch series, Flawless is an enemy of lovers and small-town romance with underlying themes of conviction and family loyalty. A prima ballerina. She is smart, funny but also fierce, and caring and is truly unhinged because she always laughs at the most inappropriate times. I love how unabashedly and unapologetically she is when no one tries to control. She is cute and my heart hurts for her when everyone around her tried to suppress her feelings like she doesn't deserve to get a say in anything just because she is a woman. Only Jasper brings out that side of her and never let her self doubt her own choices and decisions. If you want to write a book on character development, Sloane would have to be there. The person she is when the book starts is not the same at the end—her heart is still the same, though, and it’s a big one. Big enough to harbor all the feelings she’s had for Jasper over the years, even when he had her firmly in the friend zone. Huge enough to want to help him bear the weight of everything around him. I love her. CW: tall of previous miscarriage and infertility. Manipulative family relationships and a hint of ex stalkingShe says there are boundaries we shouldn’t cross. That my reputation can’t take any more hits-and neither can her damaged heart. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, the found family trope in this series it literally everything! and I can’t wait for Beau’s book, ughh I needed his book like yesterday ngl. I’m not an enthusiast of friends to lovers and was a little scared to be once again disappointed with the "Why the hell haven’t they acted on their feelings yet????". They both turn their big brown eyes on me, and suddenly I’m aware of how close we’re standing. My hand on Vivi. Vivi’s hand on Theo. Theo’s hand on me. Choosing each other. Finding each other. Showing up for each other. And everything about the moment was flawless.

I’m so proud of my babies! I love these characters so much, and god the character development in this book🤌🏼 especially Sloane’s character. I absolutely adore their relationship, it was so amazing to just see their characters grow together. The way they both got so much happier when they were together, and the way they were each other’s biggest hype man/woman >>> Their relationship was so deep, because they knew each other so well from the start. Because Summer isn’t just another conquest. She sees the man behind the mask, and she doesn’t run—she pulls me closer, even when she shouldn’t. Ms. Silver never disappoints with her attention to detail, story, character development and writing style. It’s easy to get addicted to and lost in your books. Flawless is definitely one that you will want to read, find yourself a comfortable place to read and some time because once you start reading Summer and Rhett’s story you won’t. i want to leave it She says there are boundaries we shouldn’t cross. That my reputation can’t take any more hits—and neither can her damaged heart. Also, the fact she KEPT WEARING HER ENGAGEMENT RING for 40% of the book was stupid. She left him at the altar, she never loved him, it was an arranged marriage (basically), she felt nothing when he was caught cheating and yet she kept wearing the ring? like why?? The guy was an absolute shithead and yet she didn’t throw the ring off until LONG after the wedding was supposed to take place? and I mean weeks after. The hype was very much worth it and I can’t wait to continue on with the series. We were introduced to such a great bunch of characters and I love that they all felt as relevant as our main ones.

The little twist in the storyline was interesting and brought a bit of drama to the storyline. I hated the relationship Summer had with her stepmom and sister, and how badly she was treated by them. I really loved Rhett’s family and the way they welcomed her into their fold and made her feel part of the family. The only good parts for me were seeing Willa be an absolute nightmare during her pregnancy (and I say that in the nicest way haha). Honestly, it would have worked better if these two had spent years on the outs with each other than constantly being around one another (even if they sometimes went weeks or months without talking) it would have made the angst more believable? An independent doctor who is a bit insecure but also at the same time fiery, and snippy and never let anyone walk over her. I loved her character from the very start and I know she seems cold and reserved but after knowing what she went through and why she was like that I only loved her even more and I'm glad she left that asshole almost bald husband. Also the way she cared and provided everything for her daughter was just commendable. Winter deserves so much better. She also felt a little uncomfortable in everyone's company but theo was the one who understood her and never treated her as just some ice queen. not enough of hoe suffering 😒 the only times i liked the reformed manwhore trope is when the manhoe is slut shamed, mistrusted, judged, humiliated, rejected, hurt, looked down upon, not given certain rights (aka no kissing cause it’s too personal) etc etc even if he is the sweetest man ever is a bull rider and a playboy, well before he ran into Winter at a gas station, and they had to go to the same family dinner at the Easton ranch. That family dinner turned into a one-night stand 🤭 This may just be my second favourite book from this series (nothing will beat heartless for me hehehe). I loved everything about this book from the plot, to the characters, the character development and relationship development. Elsie Silver did a fantastic job all round.
