Should You Buy the Bluefin Cruise Carbon?
In a way, the Bluefin Cruise Tandem rides like a slower touring board. Due to the length, it has a really good straight line, but with the width of 36 inches, the board slows down much faster than narrow touring or race paddle boards. Exo Surface Laminate PVC is the layering of materials that forms the board. Most cheaper boards only have one layer, which makes them lightweight and easy to fold away, but are always compromised on robustness and longevity. The reason why we say Bluefin boards are constructed well is that they are built from layers of PVC, instead of just one. The top layer of PVC also has a UV resistant coating, which helps prevent sun degradation. The leash is another important accessory that comes with the Bluefin Cruise 10’8 paddleboard. It’s a coiled leash that attaches to your ankle and the board. Leashes ensure that the board doesn’t get away from you if you fall off but having a coiled leash is a much better option than a regular one. Final comments The Bluefin Cruise glides with decent speed. Its pointed nose helps it cut through the water. I also love that it is not too wide. While wider boards are great for stability, they tend to be slow because of more resistance. So the wider a paddleboard is, the slower it will be.
