Fire Punch, Vol. 6". Viz Media. Archived from the original on January 25, 2021 . Retrieved March 29, 2019.

San is an 8 year old boy who is too sweet for the harsh world of Fire Punch. He likes potatoes and sweets, and believes Agni is god. Fire Punch is a manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the author of Chainsaw Man. It is one of the most brutal manga I have ever read, it is brutal, unforgiving and incredibly dark. Agni spends years conditioning himself to the pain, eventually he gains the strength to start walking, and vows to avenge his sister and kill Doma.

The main issue with the characters is that they never truly have the time allocated to develop. The problem is not that the characters are bad but a lot of them show potential which is never realised upon. The main characters struggle could be the only exeption to this and he is by all means quite interesting. Because of her regeneration being weaker, Luna dies in front of Agni, her last words telling him to live.

The characters are another Fire Punch’s strengths, on the level of Chainsaw Man. The main characters all have incredibly strange personalities, that make them endearing. I think Fire Punch is an amazing manga. I would recommend it if you like stuff on the weirder side like Chainsaw Man, then definitely read it.The difficult part for me with respect to the nihilism, and gradual recision of Agni’s character was that, I really enjoy stories with strong protagonists, one’s that I can identify with, or at least, can identify with their motives and reasons for being. Here, while the story is fantastical and, one can argue, damn near impossible to relate to much of anything going on, for much of the later story I couldn’t fathom, or even remotely understand, what the characters were doing. Or perhaps worse, how they got to thinking what they did and acting how they did with respect to the story prior, and that’s Fujimoto’s fault for the lightening fast pacing. translation, these things need no explanation. However in this series the little worldbuilding we see is nothing but a tease of what could've been something much greater. EditSynopsis In a world ravaged by ice and snow, civilization is on the brink of collapse, thanks to the elusive Ice Witch. Fighting against the cold has brought out the worst in humanity, leading to cults, violence, and the persecution of the "Blessed"—those born with supernatural powers.

Agni and Luna leave to find shelter, and find an abandoned salt mine, where they loot some clothes. The pair are apprehended by Lean, a member of a small group of survivors from Doma's group of children, including Doma's pregnant daughter, Ranu. Agni and Luna stay there for a decade, while Agni steadily recovers his regenerative abilities. As Agni only introduces himself as 'brother', none of the others know he is the 'Fire Punch' responsible for Doma's death. During this time, Agni and Luna begin a sexual relationship. The two fight one another, resulting in Sun burning to death. Luna, having recovered some of her previous memories, destroys half of Agni's brain, allowing him to regenerate with no memories as she had done previously. She then entrusts the care of the amnesiac Agni to Neneto, before allowing herself to complete the tree ritual to thaw the planet.

Many people try to ascribe a lot of different themes to this manga, themes that I don’t necessarily agree with. On its face, it’s wholly nihilistic, depressing, and little room for redemption, but that can be what draws you to it.
