About this deal

Genesis bags are ergonomically designed to be carried. With good shoulder straps and/or carry handles we have tried to make our bags as easy to carry as possible. They are NOT designed to be dragged along as this can cause scuff marks and/or damage. If carried as designed your bag will last way beyond pushchair/car seat travel days and become a nice sized bag for days on the beach. TOP TIP. Make the baggage handler's job easier by NOT overloading the bag. We know they are spacious bags but don’t take the sink along with you! NOTE: These bags are not armoured or indestructible and will not prevent crushing or other similar damages from occurring. They are simply to assist you to take your own stroller and other essentials abroad etc. which is done at your own risk. Please be assured that we care about our luggage as much as you care about your contents. Our market-leading reputation has been built up over fifteen years and we take great pride in our work. Your satisfaction is our main priority. The Bugaboo Butterfly has a sturdy frame and solid part and material quality. The zippers and fasteners operate smoothly.

Please do not dishonestly try to claim the bag was received defective and/or never used. With the greatest of respect, we are not a bag hire company. In the past, we have even had bags returned with airline tags inside when the customer stated they had not used the bag! We are an honest and decent company, so please extend us the same courtesy. Historically stroller designs have allowed for pinching, and in some cases amputation when fingers were caught in folding mechanisms or closing canopies. All stroller manufacturers recommend that you keep children several feet away when folding and unfolding strollers. I have been testing the Butterfly with my nine month old baby who still naps twice a day and I love how easy the stroller is to recline. The stroller is designed for children up to 22kg/around 4 years which is bigger than most in the travel stroller category. My petite 6 year old (21.5kg) has ridden in it on some longer days and it is still easy to push and tall enough in the seat to handle her. At 5 foot 9, I often struggle with stroller’s that don’t have a height adjustable bar, but I find the Butterfly is still comfortable to push. The Bugaboo Butterfly basket Basket The Butterfly pushchair also has a really spacious basket which holds 8kg, while the Bee6 holds 4kg (although still less than the impressive 10kg capacity for the Bugaboo Dragonfly) Once folded, the stroller is a very compact 45 x 23 x 54 cm which means it fits in most car boots (we have a Ford S Max 7 seater and with all 7 seats up I could fit in several folded Butterflys). The size does come in handy for narrow spaces though and it can fit through small doorways and spaces with ease.

Both strollers have excellent folding operation and maneuverability, although the Joolz Aer scored slightly higher in both categories. See our full Joolz Aer Stroller Review. The Butterfly, probably because of its weight and wheel configuration was a bit more likely to tip over sideways than other compact strollers in our tip-over test. Tip over testing an UPPAbaby stroller The Butterfly is truly a one-hand fold whereas the YoYo2 requires two hands to start the folding process and is a bit complicated even after that.NOT JUST TO PREVENT DAMAGE! The other main function of a travel bag is to keep the contents clean and dry. Aircraft holds are dirty places that get wet due to condensation during the flight. Who wants to put their baby in a dirty and wet pram at the other end? Both of these strollers receive our buy recommendation and scored in the top 3 out of 20 along with the Zoe Tour+. Choosing one over the other comes down to preference. To open the Butterfly you press the white release button on the handle and squeeze the fold button while pulling the stroller upward to an unfolded position. We folded 20 different strollers many times over and found the Bugaboo to be exceptionally easy to fold. If you live around cobbled streets then this isn’t the stroller for you, as it is definitely more suited to city pavements but the 4 wheel suspension means it can handle uneven ground too.

The Butterfly stays folded when you carry it. The pad is comfortable but the strap may not be as long as you prefer. The carry strap is sometimes hidden when the stroller is folded. These bags are ergonomically designed to be carried. TOP TIP . Make the baggage handler's job easier by NOT overloading the bag. We know they are spacious bags but don’t take the sink along with you! We haven’t had problems with the quality of the brake. Sometimes the brake doesn’t immediately engage when we press it the first time. We performed pinch testing by inserting a pencil in hinges and other places pinches were likely to happen. The Bugaboo scored 8 out of 10 in our pinch test. We found a few places where pinches could occur during the fold process. Our bags are designed differently to others and are manufactured with baggage handling systems in mind. We only use industrial zips and fittings and all straps have breaking strains well in excess of weights of prams, contents (or anything likely to be lifted by a human being). The Butterfly handle is a refined faux leather that feels well-made. It is 39″ high and is not adjustable. This handle height is workable for the majority of parents. The wheel treads are rubber and other wheel components are sturdy plastic. There is spring suspension on all four wheels. Yes, there is a release button and a fold button but it is easy to push both of them at the same time with the same hand. Most strollers use a similar mechanism. The Joolz is 13.4 lbs vs the Butterfly’s 16.1 lbs. The Joolz Aerfolds to just 1.8 cubic feet which is a tad smaller than the Butterfly’s 2.0 cubic feet. Neither are guaranteed to be accepted by airlines to fit in the overhead bin, although both qualify for some airlines.

The YoYo 2 is 2.5 lbs lighter than the Butterfly and is slightly more likely to be accepted by airlines to carry on aircraft. The canopy can be unzipped to reveal a large mesh section that allows you to see your baby. This pekaboo window also provides a significant amount of ventilation. PADDED VERSIONS: The padded versions have upholstery-grade padding inside and are lined in robust nylon. This padding and lining offer additional protection from both the bumps and scrapes of the baggage handling systems and from the elements helping to keep the contents dry and clean. It is among the smallest strollers folded at 2.0 cubic feet, but as we mentioned above, it is 3 inches wider than some airlines allow in an overhead compartment. Babyzen YoYo2 left, Bugaboo Butterfly center, and Joolz Aer right. There is a safety strap attached to the handle you can use to keep the stroller from running away from you, but is really only necessary on hills. With the leg rest extended and the seat fully reclined, naps are pretty comfy even though it doesn’t lay completely flat like a bassinet. There is a very small amount of give where the handle attaches to the frame. Generally, the handle feels rigid and secure even while pushing older, bigger children. Faux leather handle The stroller seat is 22 inches high, which is higher than any other stroller we tested. It accommodates children up to 4 years old or 50 lbs. It is sized where most bigger kids will fit comfortably. Quality and Safety
