About this deal

Chivas Regal is renowned for its range of blended Scotch whiskies including their flagship Chivas Regal 12 Year Old plus their XV, 18 and 25 Year Old bottles. They also have a triplet of 13 year old ‘extra’ whiskies which have each been specialty-matured in sherry, bourbon and rye casks. and below: We don't recommend walking sandals with this rating; you won't find any on our list. Walking Sandals We Also Tested While these sandals did pass the bend test, we found that they were a little too stiff for long walks. These are best for days at the office or weekend errands, when you’re walking shorter distances. But we did appreciate the fact that the heel area is padded, to keep our feet secure and in place.

It’s also worth noting that the cushioning in this pair is on the firmer side, as with Naot’s Kayla Wedge Sandal. Still, the Impact II’s sleek silhouette and practical features won us over. Once you’ve found a pair you like, make sure they’ll stand up to lots of walking by performing what Diana Valencia, DPM, a podiatric surgeon at NYC Foot and Ankle Center, calls the “bend test.” Try bending and twisting the footbed in different directions. Opt for sandals that are flexible in the front, under the ball of the foot, but relatively stiff everywhere else. Avoid sandals that bend in the middle, which won’t offer enough support, she says. It’s not easy to find supportive sandals that are versatile enough to wear anywhere, but we finally found a pair in Teva’s Tirra Sandal. With a close fit straight out of the box, we like that their hook-and-loop straps are easy to adjust every time we put them on. No surprises, the 18 year old is by far my favourite from Chivas Regal. It’s everything the 12yo promises, but with a much smoother drinking experience. The depth from the oak and fruity orange flavours are a wonderful combination that really comes to life. No water needed! At the end of the testing periods, we note whether the sandals have worn down excessively and if they’ve begun to feel uncomfortable. We give each pair a score between 1 (would not recommend) and 5 (would recommend) in seven key categories: fit, comfort, stability, responsiveness, cushioning, quality, and overall value. When we tried the Corine on, we noticed that the soft, leather straps helped support our feet without rubbing, chafing, or feeling too restrictive. The adjustable hook-and-loop closure makes it easy to get the perfect fit right out of the box. On the palate however, I taste hints of crisp refreshing apples, with sweet pear and vanilla. There’s also a toffee like sweetness that comes through with a tang that reminds me of aniseed. I’m usually not much of a fan of this sort of flavour, but it brings an aromatic element to this dram which works nicely with the sweet fruitiness. As much as I love the JW18, the Chivas Regal 18 is a truly stunning blend. It’s got these wonderful fruity spiced flavours that really dance in your glass. For me, it’s got fantastic depth and nostalgically reminds me of my grandmother’s home made marmalade on toast. There’s a beautiful zing to this whisky but with adult-level spice and complexity. As for specific styles, sandals with a toe post are more likely to stay on your feet, says Tarr. But many people find them uncomfortable while walking long distances. Instead, opt for strappy sandals without toe posts or sandals that slide on, especially ones that are designed for walking, like Teva’s Zymic Sandal, Teva’s Terra Fi 5 Universal Sandal, or Skechers’ GO WALK Arch Fit Affinity Sandal. Avoid flip flops when walking long distances, riding a bike, using a skateboard, or hiking, as you could injure your toes. Also, avoid sandals that are too flimsy. If the sandal bends in half at the arch, it’s not stable enough for walking long distances, Tarr says. Fit

On my first sip, the whisky has a rich woody flavour reminiscent of an empty cigar box. It’s a charming balance with distinct notes of oak and cedar, creating an intense yet enjoyably rich taste. Further in to the glass, there’s more of that earthy taste which comes from the peaty Islay malts. This gives a lovely smoky flavour that isn’t too overpowering. It really compliments the mild sweetness which comes through on the mid-palate.As one of only four CW series to be renewed by the network’s new owners, Nexstar, Walker is in the coveted position of being able to play out its Season 3 cliffhangers. And thank goodness for that, because the May finale left viewers with several dangling storylines, including a MIA body, a serial killer and more than one potential romance. Chivas Regal is considered to be a luxury Scotch whisky. It offers a smooth, subtle taste with light sweet notes compared to Johnnie Walker’s more smoky flavour profile. Chivas Regal has an excellent range of blended whiskies ranging from 12 up to 25 years old, making it a luxurious choice for whisky lovers.
