About this deal

Forewarned- A unit within 12” of a FARSEER can shoot at an enemy Reinforcement that arrived within 18” of them that turn (the chosen unit, not the FARSEER ), at the end of the opponent’s Reinforcement Step. Not cheap at 2CP, and requires a Farseer nearby to guide them, but this works on any unit you arrive near. Crisis Suits arriving within range of some War Walkers with Bright Lances, have at it. Warp Spiders onto a unit of Acolyte Hybrids, ouch time for them. A unit of Terminators thinking they’re clever and appearing near some Wraithguard, they’re gonna have a bad time. This can cause some serious headaches to your opponent’s game plans, so be sure to have a Farseer around your heavy hitters to “dissuade” enemy arrivals. The Aeldari are a highly mobile army full of specialised units that can boost their already devastating powers by examining the skeins of destiny, discerning exactly where to place a surgical strike. They then nimbly retreat, their battle lines dodging reprisal like the tide retreating from the shore. Faction Rules

Martial Citizenry- Gives a GUARDIAN unit reroll 1s to Hit for a Phase. Decent enough, and not costly for a CP regardless of unit or size, but it’s not netting a huge return. Handy to have, but by no means essential. Branching Fates corrects the bad rolls of your Fate dice, as if you use one to substitute a roll for a unit within 12” of your Farseer, it counts as an unmodified 6, The Farseer seems like a unit which will be staple for most of the Aeldari armies, as it can further manipulate dice, and the extra toughness given to units is also a plus – just don’t forget to hide it behind troops or cover.

New Eldar Warhammer 40k Stratagems

When rolling Fate Dice, it’s important for players to decide whether or not they should perform a re-roll to get a better distribution of dice. Assuming dice are perfectly random, the results should follow a predictable distribution called the normal distribution. This is known as the central limit theorem, and this article by Juan Luis Ruiz-Tagle describes the theory behind it perfectly. So how do we apply this to Aeldari Fate Dice? The question we need to answer is whether or not the distribution of dice we have received is worse than what we should expect to get if we roll one fewer die. In other words if we think have a highly negative outlier, is it worth trying again? The fastest way to do this is to see how far away from the expected average the result is. As well as rules for Asuryani Aeldari (that’s craftworlds to me and you), this new codex also has rules for fielding Harlequins – we’ll have more info on adding these deadly clowns to your armies later in the week. We saw the first Corsairs miniature at LVO, and you can also include them in an army. You can even dedicate yourself to the Aeldari god of death and take a Ynnari army – all using the same codex! Treasures of the Aeldari- Give a Character a Relic. As with the above, this can help build some strong Characters, and there are some good ones to choose from, especially for melee Autarchs. Early battles have revealed that the sheer presence of colossal war machines, looming over terrain and decimating vulnerable units, can be exceedingly potent. This holds particularly true for armies fielding towering units like Imperial and Chaos Knights, armed with devastating weaponry. Furthermore, the Indirect Fire ability, employed by units like the Desolation Squad, has proven to be a challenge for many opposing armies to counter.

We revealed some incredible new Aeldari miniatures during the Warhammer Preview Online from the LVO. But how are you going to get them onto the tabletop? You’re gonna need a new codex. The Fire Prism is all about the Prism Cannon, which is absolutely devastating in both Focused and Dispersed modes of fire. The chassis itself is tough enough and fast enough to make that weapon a considerable threat. Combine with Strands of Fate to make it’s shots REALLY hurt. Corsair Voidscarred Enhancements: The fabled Phoenix Gem makes an appearance again, and it is just as effective as ever. The Avenging Blade- A DIRE AVENGER Exarch upgrades their Diresword with a +1 Str, and that’s it. It’s fine, but it’s Avengers in combat. The faction-wide Army Rule for the Eldar will still be Strands of Fate in the next Edition of Warhammer 40k, but will work a little differently than in the current version of the tabletop wargame. Instead of getting Fate dice before the start of each round, you’ll only roll once at the start of the game. The Eldar players can make 12 D6 Strands of Fate rolls, which they can reroll almost indefinitely if they roll one dice less each time – until Fate smiles on them, and they think they rolled good enough (or they only have 1 dice left).

Fate’s Messenger: Once per turn, after making a hit, wound, or save roll for the bearer’s unit, you can treat the roll as a six instead. Welcome to our in-depth exploration of the Aeldari faction in the new edition of Warhammer 40,000. Unlike humans, this ancient race known as the Aeldari possess a profound understanding of Chaos and its devastating consequences. Despite being on the brink of extinction, the Aeldari’s mastery of elegant weaponry and finely honed psychic abilities make them a formidable force in the game. In this blog post, we’ll delve into their highly mobile playstyle, faction rules, notable units, powerful weapons, and strategic abilities. Wings: I look forward to using this as effectively a scout move I get to do at the end of my opponent’s first turn, assuming I go second. Seems fantastic for shifting up a Serpent loaded with goodies. Opponents of the Aeldari find them mercurial and elusive, and plans are sure to fail as these unpredictable skirmishers feign retreats and mask their presence. No Named Characters (apart from the YNNARI ones, duh), SOLITAIRES or ANRATHE units. No, you still can’t have Jain Zar or Prince Yriel in a Ynnari Army, despite the fluff. Other groups of Aeldari cling to existence, including the Harlequins – who travel the Webway (an ancient network of safe* tunnels through the warp) acting as diplomats, performers, and mercenaries, and the Ynnari – who worship the half-reborn god of death as a means to finally thwart Slaanesh and recapture the Aeldari souls it ate during the Fall. Firesabre- Replacing a Banshee Blade or Starglaive, you get +3Str AP-4 D2 that does an additional Mortal Wound on 6s to Wound. It’s not bad as far as melee weapons go, though it’s a fairly minor upgrade for a Starglaive. The overarching theme of the Aeldari will be the level of reliability with which they take to the table. Many of their army rules are geared towards the idea that when the Eldar commit their ever-waning forces to battle, that the game plan plays out exactly as the runes have foretold it would. This theme is carried out at each level, starting at the top with the Faction Rule.
