About this deal

Signature LED headlights in the floorhead illuminate hidden dust. Move freely between rooms with swivel steering, a stretch hose and a long 8m power cord, giving you a total cleaning reach of 8.47m.

If you want to complete a deep clean in your home without having to empty your vacuum, then the Shark DuoClean & Anti Hair Wrap Bagless Cylinder Pet Vacuum CZ500UKT will be a brilliant choice for you. It's large capacity, easy to use controls and excellent suction power on carpets shone through doing our review process, which was completed by our eCommerce Writer Molly. We think the Shark NZ801UKT is one of the best upright vacuum cleaners on the market. It’s a versatile and convenient choice, due to the powered lift-away design and DuoClean floor tool. The anti hair wrap feature is a useful bonus, although it’s not always 100% effective. It’s also a brilliant vacuum for cleaning pet hair on any surface. For non-allergy sufferers, however, the NZ801UKT does a good enough job at retaining dust and other particles. Shark NZ801UKT Emptying & Cleaning

Anti Hair Wrapoffers a self-cleaning brush roll thanks to an in-built comb. This removes pet and human hair before it gets the chance to get tangled. We were very excited to test the brand new Shark Detect Pro for a few reasons. The first is that it's unbelievably lightweight, at just 2.76kg, so your days of lugging around a heavy vacuum are behind you. Switch between carpet and hard floor mode at the touch of a button. Simply select a setting using the handle control and the brush roll speed will adjust for the perfect clean. This adjustable control helps you clean your floors with just the right amount of power. A bonus is that the 2-in-1 tool and upholstery brush have on-board storage, which ensures they’re always available and less likely to get lost.

With a weight of 6.5kg, the Shark isn’t the lightest vacuum we’ve reviewed, but it’s not too heavy either. It handles well and is easy to manoeuvre around furniture, although we don’t think it can match Dyson Ball technology when it comes to steering. When referencing the capacity in vacuum cleaners this refers to the amount of dirt and dust particles that the canister (dust bag/dust bin) can hold before filling up. Clearly this is a crucial element when thinking about which vacuum cleaner you want to buy as it gives an indication of how long you can clean before you need to empty the canister. This level of power is an indicator that this vacuum cleaner is good enough for most standard jobs; if you’ve got bigger bulk to remove, such as dirt from DIY, then a more powerful bagged cleaner, such as a Henry would make more sense. The NZ801UKT is part of Shark’s DuoClean range. This refers to the floorhead, which has two motorised rotating brush rolls. The first is a softer brush roll that’s designed for hard floors, while the bristle brush is excellent for digging deeper into carpets. Make sure you put it in hard floor mode for maximum performance though. This slows down the brush bars, which reduces the chances of scattering. There’s no option to completely turn off the brush bar, however, which we think is a strange oversight. StairsIn fact, the lift-away option makes the Shark a middle ground between the convenience of a cordless and the power of traditional upright, which is one of the reasons we think it’s such an excellent vacuum. Keep your carpets and hard floors spotless with the NZ690UK from Shark. This upright cleaner comes with Anti-Hair Wrap technology and Powered Lift-Away as well as a 1.1L dust capacity to help you vacuum through your home with ease. Multi-Purpose Vacuum Cleaner

Shark claims that it has all the power of a corded vacuum cleaner but in cordless form, and after testing we couldn't agree more. It's got DuoClean which makes switching modes immensely straightforward, and the controls make it easy to see how much battery you have left. To charge, simply lift out the battery on the side of the dust tank and pop it into its charging port. One of the attachments which comes with this Shark vacuum is the pet tool. As with many of the best vacuum cleaners for pet hair, it's was excellent at drawing out embedded hair from rugs, blankets and anywhere else your four-legged-friend likes to reside. Overall, this is a strong contender for those looking for a large capacity Shark vacuum that they can rely on. It delivered pretty consistent results on the flooring, leaving carpet – including on the stairs – tiles, and parquet clean. The DuoClean floorhead had a big part to play in this as it can easily transition across the various floor types, on which its twin bristle brushes work their magic. Anti Hair Wrap – a feature designed to stop hair accumulating around the brush roll – had some impressive results, too. This meant that neither human hair nor the hair of small furry housemates lodged itself around the brushes of the floorhead or the motorised pet tool. This design feature is a welcome addition, but it can’t match a HEPA filter for filtration. If you have a dust or pet allergy, look for a vacuum with a HEPA filter and a bagged design. The NZ801UKT is great for cleaning hard floors. Unlike carpets, where it’s not quite as effective as the top competing models, we think the NZ801UKT is a match for any vacuum on tiles or floorboards.Discover a 2-in-1 model with the Shark NZ690UK – an upright to clean larger floor areas, and a lightweight, portable cleaner that you can take anywhere. Powered Lift-Away technology lets you detach the main unit away from the floorhead, so you can vacuum your whole home in total comfort – from stairs to soft furnishings and ceilings and light fittings.
