Suddenly, the Spirit spoke to my heart, “I’m going to take care of this need. Just trust me.” Those words were comforting, but I didn’t have the faith, in that moment, to receive them.

Two years after he received his undergraduate degree in theology from Canada, as riots broke out in Indonesia in May 1998, he decided to return to his homeland for the sake of preaching the Gospel. So we must understand this: The Holy Spirit did not come to make you senseless and silly; He came to make you spiritually sharp. He came to empower world evangelism. The Holy Spirit’s power can be ministered with class. There’s a beautiful, gentle air of Heavenly elegance about a move of God. He is not chaotically bizarre. The Holy Spirit Guides Us. “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (Jn. 16:13). In The Pentecostal Evangel, Robert C. Cunningham wrote about the question, “What does it mean to be filled with God?” He said this: “We know what it means for a person to be filled with fear, don’t we—or filled with envy, or anger! . . . It means that these strong forces urge him to actions which express the spirit that has gained control of him.” He manifests His fruit in us as we abide in Christ, giving us the will to obey (Gal 5:22-23; 2 Tim 1:7; Phil 2:13).

Finally God sent His Son Jesus Christ to live among people and show them what God is really like. In Jesus’ teachings you learn about the wonderful love of God for all mankind. In Jesus’ life, you see this love in action. In His death and resurrection for you, you see the proof of God’s love.
