About this deal

I’ve really been into Fae books lately (romance books, specifically) but I’ve been tired of the lore because all of the Fae seem to follow the same variation. With werewolves and vampires and the like, there are a million different thought out rules to the species. Fae seemed to get one thing. While this book follows some of the familiar Fae “rules” I’m used to, it also deviated enough that it felt unique and I was interested. F: Your mum sounds like a remarkable woman. She’s the other person who suffuses the book throughout...

We were just two people, and I was astonished at how easy it was to forget that there were any other barriers between us." Ovde imamo mladog studenta medicine čiji je poslić da ide da nadgleda matorog slikara na-putu-da-poludi u nekoj vukojebini i piše izveštaje slikarevom bratu hirurgu. Sve je hladno, ljudi su odvratni, život je beznadežan. Kraj. TOURNAMENT PLOT LINES are always entertaining and this was no exception! Although Ava did get some help from Torin throughout the tasks, I didn’t feel like it took away from her own badassery. The tournament definitely felt like high stakes and the authors didn’t shy away from making it bloody. I will not say any more on the subject, except that half a day's research on the internet would have given the author enough material to make her weaver characters capable of weaving, including using correct and accurate terminology for the actions and tools. They could still spin, if they really wanted to spin, too. Not to mention all the rich metaphors, symbols and feelings (tactile and emotional) that the author could have evoked using the world of fibers and cloth making.

Inspector Jack Frost books in order:

This book was almost a 5. I’m expecting to finally give it to Thorns (Frost #2) when it comes out, cause hopefully most of the motives why I didn’t gave that extra star, will have response in the sequel. Torin, I have mixed feelings about him. It is a love-hate relationship at this point, but I can't help but still root for him. So, it is more love than hate at this point. This character is emotionally damaged and gives off the "you can't hate me more than I hate myself" vibes, which makes me wanna hug him and protect him from everything and everyone. I had the privileged of being a part of the cover reveal from AToMR Tours for Frost. So when I knew Frost was going on tour I jumped at the chance to be on it. When I read the blurb I was excited to be introduced to a new world.Sometimes we bloggers tend to stay with the same genre but I said hey this good. I have to say I am so glad I read Frost because it left me breathless and wanting book two like yesterday! Then, he grabbed the flower from Frost's hair and fed it to one of the broots, and Frost felt her heart shatter into a million little pieces."

Original and… cold! This book is cold! Snow, ice, frost - it's a very chilly, dreary setting that, coming from Canada, I can easily relate to. I know how it feels to be snowed in after a storm. To be constantly cold during a storm (even though my house is sweltering). So although the characters could have been fleshed out, and the plot intensified, the setting is very vividly depicted, and it's clearly an incredibly unique premise that has a lot of potential. I think the book may have simply been too short. The chemistry between our two mains was top tier. I really just ate up the tension and spice in this book. However, I wasn't swept away for any of the other characters - Gabe, Adam, Cole or even Ann. They were just meh personalities that played their various roles, but nothing about their personalities stood out like the Weavers. I think Adam started showing a lot of potential, but I'm sure we'll be seeing more of that in the sequel. All in all, a delight to read and experience - yes, it's impossible not to "live" the story through Lia's eyes, the narration is just that close and personal. Now that the truth is out in the open, I can't wait to see how much more the Weavers will evolve as characters, and what other dangers their actions will bring forth as consequences! But I was very proud that I got to meet him. He started off like me working as a line cook – I worked in a Mexican restaurant, he was in a more high end French place – but he was a normal human who had something to say and people loved him. People loved him because he was honest and funny and spoke his truth. Overall, this was an exciting story with interesting characters and an intriguing Fae world. If you are a fan of stories with original ideas and addictive writing then you'll want to grab this one! I really enjoyed this it’s a Fae fantasy enemies-to-lovers slow-burn romance set in an alternate world where humans are now aware of the existence of faerie. Ava is a low-level Fae brought up in the human world. She has no idea of her origins or parents and was abandoned before later being adopted by her human mother. Alone since her mother's death, she has one constant her fiancé when he betrays her Ava is heartbroken swearing off love and it’s this decision that paves her way forward. . .

Have you ever felt that it’s just too dangerous to love people?”/ He was quiet. Something glistened in his eyes./” My parents, and now you.” Halliwell-Horner's writing is engaging, fast paced and electric. I really liked Rosie and was rooting for her. There are some very unlikeable characters that really kept the plot twisting, but as with any good story, I love to love a baddie! As expected there is a beautiful message of inner power. The title is quite appropriate, from my point of view suggesting the coldness felt in the context of appreciating human existence, a pessimism that can gain the reader, or, if not, will intrigue him, at least. But will not leave him indifferent. The romance in the story was a slowish-burn affair. It didn't get too steamy but I really loved the way that Crawford executed their romance. Ava and Torin spend time together preparing for the tasks in the competition and they get to see each other's personalities. The reader can see the gradual development of feelings between the two of them as the story progresses. And it is sort of an enemies-to-lovers romance so it's pretty satisfying.I was really pleasantly surprised by this book. I'm a huge history buff (the Tudors being one subject I love) and the story meshes fantasy with history very well. This could well be a way to get your teenager/young adult into it too. Perfect for fans of The Selection series who are looking for something spicier, deadlier, and with fae and magic! 🔥❤️ Yes, they spin yarn, and badly at that. Spinning is not twiddling unnamed and undescribed stuff between your fingers. They do not, not a single time, ever actually weave. The only loom they have is apparently used for turning yarn into thread. (That's not how it works, but I'm assuming everyone else in the world besides the author knows that.)

Before he died, Frost’s father uploaded his consciousness into their robot servant. But the technology malfunctioned, and now her father fades in and out. So when Frost learns that there might be medicine on the other side of the ravaged city, she embarks on a dangerous journey to save the one living creature she loves. NF: Yeah, I would suggest that my love for my children and for my partner was something that potentially saved my life. It was the catalyst and the thing that let me try and think of something nice. It was a light in a really shit dark room that I was drawn towards. And it was very clear that that was absolutely worth living for. First things first, thank you to C.N. Crawford and NetGalley for an eARC copy of this book. With that being said, this review is my honest opinion on Frost.THE ROMANCE was fun too! Even though it isn’t really that steamy yet, it definitely hints at becoming much steamier as the romance continues to build 😏 I don’t mind because the book was on the shorter side so I can handle the anticipation and slower build up Er wittert ständig Gefahr. Was denn? Unter der Oberfläche? Über der Oberfläche? Und an der Unterfläche? This new realistic fantasy YA novel is a fast and fun read. On the worst day of her life, Rosie suddenly finds herself whisked off to a private school for extraordinary students located on an island. Within hours of her arrival, Rosie encounters a sneaky assistant headmaster, a mean girl, and has a strange experience with one of the ghosts that haunt the school. Rosie is enticed to enter a harrowing competition and must figure out who her friends are and how to save the animals on the island. Ava's character was delightful. I am a huge fan of a strong female lead and Ava was just that. She was a spurned female with nothing to lose at the start of the book. She really proved her mettle throughout the competitions in the story. I immediately loved her. Torin is a decent character. I felt that he could have used a little more character development because I enjoyed his character but I didn't feel as attached to his character as I did with Ava's character. I did enjoy the secondary characters and the spark that they added to the story.
