About this deal

What I didn’t expect was how defined his jaw became, slightly squared and clean of any scruff most of the time, a patrician nose free from any breaks despite his aggressive sport, and a set of lips that are enviously fuller than mine. I freaking love this author!!! Her quirky sense of humour and the way she spins her tales is just so addictive to me! Aiden and Ivy's story was just like that too. You could feel the emotions and everything these two felt. I’ve looked into counseling before when I was at my lowest, needing somebody. Just because resources exist for people like me who suffer from our own minds doesn’t mean it’s easily accessible. Every time I see a commercial or flyer about getting help, I believe less and less that the people who create them understand what it takes to link those who are suffering to those willing to help without charging a kidney per session. Finding happiness is easy to some, but happiness is subjective. It costs more than anyone can fathom because the very things that make you feel even the highest high in the moment can also bring you crashing down in the next. Not all of us want to stay unhappy. But not all of us have another choice."

This is an emotional story about a girl that lost her way at 16 because of the toxic relationship with her parents. It's also a story about true friendship and true love and how that saved her life. It's a story about bad decisions due to bad circumstances and about a second chance at life. Ivy was the perfect main character because she symbolizes a very common person in our world today that no one wants to talk about. My rage was without bounds; I sprang on him, impelled by all the feelings which can arm one being against the existence of another. Aiden was a boy that you could count on him and he was the world to Ivy, even though she didn't want to admit it!!!

‘Dare You to Hate Me’ excerpt

Danny is a star football player, who also comes from a rich family but in spite of that, he is down to earth and well balanced. He has an easy-going attitude, always flirting and making jokes but he's also a very considerate guy. I recommend this book to those who likes: B. Celeste, friends to lovers, sports, enemies to lovers, second chance, college, emotional, and a happily ever after. Danny is attracted to the shy, mysterious girl who wants nothing with him and despite the rumors about her, he befriends her.

They form an amazing friendship, which I absolutely adored. He helped Sky with building her confidence and standing up for herself. I loved how their relationship progressed. As for the romance, I wish Ivy showed her love as freely as Aiden did, but I understood why she couldn't all the time. Towards the end of the book, I truly did appreciate her even though I never really fell in love with her. All in all this was still a great read from an incredibly talented author and I can't wait to see what she does next!! I take her hand and squeeze it ... "You can’t always be the punching bag so others miss the hits, and that’s what you were.” Review: I always told myself that I didn’t enjoy the really slow burn romances, but there’s something about the way B. Celeste writes that complete captivates me. I struggled a little with Dare You to Hate Me a few months ago, but when I started reading this one, I couldn't put the book down. And I credit all of that to the presence of DJ Bridges and just how incredible a character he was. If you’ve read the first book, then you’ve already met and fallen in love with DJ, but nothing will prepare you for the moment you meet him in his own book.Overall, I absolutely loved the book. I can't say that it is entirely flawless, to be honest, because it has negativities here and there. But if it is only subjective matters, I don't want to travel that road, at all. Safety: trigger warning for attempted suicide, suicidal thoughts; 3+ semi explicit scenes with sexual content. I get what the book is trying to do. And this is one of those situations where it's not the book, it's me. Because I, for the life of me, could only wonder why. Cash or credit?” I press, staring at the machine’s buttons, ignoring the pumping organ in my chest.
