About this deal

Delivery times are quoted in business days meaning weekends and local holidays including bank holidays, Christmas etc do not count as business days. DELIVERY TIMES - Custom Made Products Caframo have two decades of experience perfecting the Ecofan. This means low failures and high customer satisfaction. The Ecofan starts automatically and adjusts its speed with the stove temperature. As the stove heats up, the Ecofan runs faster to move more warm air into the room. As the stove burns down and cools, the Ecofan automatically shuts off. The Caframo Ecofan 810 UltrAir and 812 AirMax are heat powered fans designed to circulate the warm air created by a wood-stove operating with normal surface temperatures of between 85°C and 345°C. These fans do not use batteries or mains power.

Depending on the size of your room, this answer can change. If you have a larger stove or need to heat a bigger space, two fans can be worth the investment. Otherwise, try to start with one and see if it gets the job done on its own. Where should a fan be placed on a wood stove? In my personal experience, the Ecofan 812AMXBX AirMax is a worthwhile investment for any wood stove owner. It works exactly as it’s advertised, functions by quiet operation, and has our home nice and toasty. This fan also comes with a 2 year limited warranty. td>110 - 345°C8510%17%2 YearsResults determined by CFD simulations and prototype testing, Almost every one of our neighbours here heat their homes with a wood stove. Several of our friends have this type of fan – an Ecofan wood stove fan – I was always curious but never went ahead and bought one.td>75 - 200°C140The 806 BelAir Ecofan outperforms the 800, 810 and 812 Ecofans Increased Efficiency:Warm air is circulated directly into the living area rather than having most of the stove's heat rise immediately to the ceiling, thereby increasing the heating efficiency of your stove. The 812 AirMax Ecofan is the superior choice for anyone with a wood burning stove, providing the highest air flow and starting to work at the lowest temperature. Still providing excellent results but with slightly less air movement and a higher starting operating temperature is the 810 UltrAir. Both the 812 and 810 offer 2-year warranties. The airflow created by a genuine Ecofan can help you feel the heat from your wood stove up to 38% faster*. Ecofans are designed to sit on top of a free-standing wood stove and create their own electricity without using any household energy or batteries. The fan starts automatically when placed on top of a stove and adjusts its speed with the stove temperature. As the stove heats up, the Ecofan runs faster. As the stove cools down, the fan slows and automatically shuts off. The designs have evolved from the original Canadian invention to the current models to provide greater efficiency and maximum airflow. Up to 18% Fuel Savings! Results determined by CFD simulations and prototype testing, to be verified with off-tool sampling.

Dimensions:- Base 121x82mm (4.75 inch x 3.25 inch), Height 248mm (9.75 inch) from base to top of the blade, excluding handle. Blade diameter 230mm (9 inch). Three vaned blades require more torque power (the force required to get a mass moving) to start their great mass and overcome the greater drag of their increased surface area.

Side note: This actually enables me to know WHEN it’s time to add more wood to the stove. If I’m working outside and come in for a moment, I can take a look and see how fast the blade is turning. I don’t even have to go to the stove and open it to see how much wood is left inside. I can rely on the air movement from the fan to let me know. The Original Mini 815 is the smallest Ecofan with an operating height of just 165mm (6.5”) making it a suitable option for limited spaces. cold start of 17°C in a standard test environment.
AirMax: 68 minutes   UltrAir: 76 minutes   Original: 87 minutes   Original Mini: TBC   No fan: 110 minutes This graph shows the 806 BelAir to give the best performance at low temperatures while, of the woodstove fans, the best option is the 812 AirMax followed by the 810 UltrAir, then the basic 800 Original and then the basic 815 Original Mini. Keep reading for my review of the Ecofan 812AMXBX AirMax and find out why a wood stove fan is such a solid investment! This Ecofan is a worthwhile investment for any wood stove owner who wants better distribution of natural heat throughout the house! Why Use a Wood Burning Stove Fan?
