About this deal

Their high school St. Victoria is basically a motherhouse that was converted into a high school and is rumored to be haunted. This really hyped up the vibe of the book and gave a dark angsty chill over the book. He totally was obsessed with Darla from the moment he laid eyes on her, and then when they were arranged to be married, this man became possessive and protective over his girl in a heartbeat. Another thing about Zeno was that he could instantly tell how Darla was always so self conscious about certain aspects of herself or her life and this man would tell her all the time how beautiful and amazing she is until she finally started to believe it herself and i also think he made her more comfortable in her own self and gave her the confidence boost she needed to see herself in a different light, and it’s another thing i love about them. Cade and Ella are partnered up, and we soon learn that they used to date, but broke up during summer break. In each chapter, we learn more and more about the horrible evening that ruined their relationship. Look, the book wasn't terrible, I just think if you are going to select a setting you should make it accurate you know?

I almost sobbed when we found out every Friday she sends him flowers and chocolates to take him on a date and stealing his virginity but ofc no butt stuff 😭 The first time I saw my husband, he resembled a deity. My very own Hades, who stole and dragged me to the underworld. A lonely kingdom for two kindred souls. A place for us to rule and flourish and create life for many seasons to come.If I had known all those months ago this was what awaited me on the other side, I would have grasped his hand on the first night and pleaded with him to whisk me away." - Darla Ivy Hill. There were also so many twists I honestly didn’t see coming?? Honestly it was a wild ride, that’s all I’m gonna say. Ella was a badass at the end. The book was so entertaining to read, I read it in a day. The only thing I didn’t like was Cade calling Ella “baby girl” sometimes but that’s just me LMAO and I kinda wish their break was longer than 3 months so they could grow more?? But that's just minor details. One of the first books I ever read on Wattpad was Trapped with an Arrogant Bad Ass. The year was 2014 and the book was marked as complete on my Wattpad app. So I simply HAD to read it. ANYWAYS, the plot is interesting and especially the second half with all the secrets being revealed, revenge being taken, the catfight, drama, it was good. I like stories where there is a H who has a dark side to it and walls as high as the Great Canyon but there is only that one girl who can get through it. In a way its cute.

The way this book was written, I thought that it was part of an interconnected standalone series. But then I found out that it's a debut novel and I was very confused. I felt like the author wrote this book without realizing that the reader doesn't know this universe like they do. THIS MF BOUGHT HER A PVT ISLAND??? AND A RARE 50 MILLION DOLLAR RING AFTER MEETING HER FOR THE 2ND TIME?? NOW I REALLY NEED DARCIA AND ROMERO’S BOOK!! LIKE I NEED IT NOW!! HOPE THE AUTHOR WILL WRITE THEIR STORY NEXT ❤️

Darla, come on! You are going to do what going in there. You always carry the gun (which is a little hypocrite of you since you don't like the violence and the killing) but you never shoot anyone. I just want to start off by saying that i had the pleasure of getting an early ARC of this book and i can quite honestly say that it was most definitely one of my most favourite five star reads this year! Ever since I was a young girl, I’ve lived under the scrutiny of Montardor’s elite society and played by every one of my mother’s rules until I became the quintessential daughter. I also found that this book has some unnecessary parts while also missing chapters that would have significantly improved the book overall. There wasn't enough grovelling/conflict resolution. The conflict itself was poorly executed (miscommunication trope + lie by omission trope). AND the story didn't deliver on the "darkness" that was promised.

Customer reviews

My role has been clear from the start. Heir to an empire of sin and bloodshed, my destiny is tied with becoming the next Seigneur De la Croix. I'm going to start off this review by just saying how privileged and happy I am that I was able to read the advanced readers copy for Trapped With You. I've been familiar with this book since it was published on wattpad all those years ago (currently published as Trapped with an Arrogant Badass on wattpad). Introduced to me by my sister, it easily became one of my favourite books. Then, I discovered more of Marzy's books and its safe to say she easily became one of my favourite wattpad authors. Its always been on my lists and i've always recommended it people whenever they as for a great wattpad book so the fact that i'm sitting here, writing a review for the official published version makes my teenage self scream with excitement and delight. For example, the way side characters are just there and it's as if we, the readers, are just supposed to "know" who is with whom. St. Victoria, a church turned school was actually a really cool setting and really portrayed the vibe of the story I think. It was creepy and really unique. Trapped with You is about a couple, Cade and Ella, who truly come into themselves once they get together. Coming together for the couple isn’t the hard part, the hard part is staying together. Jealousy, lies, secrets, and all the major high school bs threatens this couple’s chance at a happily ever after. Together this couple is on fire, they give into their shadow selves and their perfect match accepts the other for who they are. But when they’re apart, it’s that same fire that creates all the angst necessary for a second chance romance.

plotwise: love it. I didn't like certain parts but the plot was actually there and thriving. This book reminded me why I love marriage of convenience so much. the character development, the RELATIONSHIP development was *chefs kiss* and for once the hero doesn't have daddy issues and a healthy relationship with his family surprise surprise but the heroine has mommy issues SHE JUST LIKE ME FR but is strong and independent love her for that. also many plot twists I did not see coming but I saw the last one coming oop- There’s a lot of things i love about Darla and the main one is her strength and her heart. This girl went through a lot with her mother growing up and she still has the biggest heart ever. The way she chose to forgive those around her, and gave them second chances, even when they probably didn’t deserve it, was admirable in itself. Darla’s growth throughout the book was very clear to see and it was great to see how she finally learned to put herself and her own personal needs above others or having to prove herself to her mother and the way she finally learned to stand up for herself and what she believes in was great to see! The book is not out to the public just yet, but allow me to tell you why you SHOULD go buy this book.

also the smut??? it was freaking perfect. PERFECT. sometimes i get bored when i read smut with all the dirty talk but i enjoyed every single of it in this book. the dynamic between Cade and Ella was perfect. i literally loved this book so much. and even though the year just started, this book might easily end up being one of my favs for this year This man is a total softie on the inside and i will be a firm believer in this forever. Zeno is, to outside world, a cold and intimidating man, but he’s someone who would do anything to protect his family and those he loves, and it’s really shown how much he loves and cares about each of his family members with the way he would defend them and even kill for them. It’s obvious that his family is important to him and that made me love him even more. Ella was such a strong character and it was a breath of fresh air because she immediately showed Cade how much she wanted him The way I know this author has a gift, is that she made me – an otherwise frustrated pessimist in love at age 13, into a hopeless romantic. How did she do this? All with the simple strokes of her keyboard when writing books.

I loved every single thing about this book! Every damn thing. Safe to say, I'm obsessed and I won't stop talking about this at all. And I also can't stop thinking about Zeno and Darla. The best couple ever!! A little brief review and how they both met. Few spoilers ahead so be aware. do you ever stalk author’s social media after you finish their book? cuz that’s what i did and learned that she has more books on her wattpad that might be released this year. i’m so freaking excited for those books because just with this one book Marzy Opal became one of my favourite authors. i really wanna read more about the side characters in this book.keeps a comfortable pair of shoes in his car at all times when you want to change out of your heels. ALSO, this book is supposed to be set in Canada but the ages, phrases/terms, and general vibe are very American.
