Dugoni continues to deliver emotional and gut-wrenching, character-driven suspense stories that will resonate with any fan of the thriller genre.There is an unexpected break in the very cold case, and Tracy is determined to find out once and for all who is responsible for her sister’s disappearance. I liked this book because the protagonist is smart and capable, and faces the challenges of being one of the few women in a police department without whining about how much harder it is for women in her environment.

This conventional opening could lead readers to think they’re watching an old pro going through the motions.
