About this deal

I fully understand that the writing on the base only states Dr and the number and I’m not questioning the casting. The Cybermen, who just recently appeared on television with the Twelfth Doctor and Missy in the epic Series 10 finale, World Enough And Time / The Doctor Falls, first appeared over fifty years ago! Today Sanrio Global Ltd and BBC Worldwide have announced a new partnership with an amazing new mash-up. It was funny, had my favorite companion (though some argue she wasn’t a companion), plus the infamous red fez! Since then, Hargreaves has given every Doctor (excluding John Hurt’s War Doctor) the Mr Men treatment, with brilliant success.

Bacon · William · Queen of Miseryland · Miseryland Jester · King of the Goblins · Dark Knight · Stormy Knight · Starry Knight · Mr. Doctor Who meets The World of Hargreaves brings to life Doctor Who characters in the distinctive story-telling and illustrative style of Roger Hargreaves. Over the years, the Cybermen battled the Time Lord time and again – and almost every time with a shiny new upgrade. These will cover the tales of the First, Fourth, Eleventh and Twelfth Doctors, played by William Hartnell (1963-1966), Tom Baker (1974-1981), Matt Smith (2010-2013) and Peter Capaldi (2013-present).Twelfth -- a sweet little tale of Peter Capaldi's Doctor chasing Missy through time, narrated by Michelle Gomez. The book also introduces us to Yaz, Graham, and Ryan’s Mr Men counterparts, which are just as sweet and instantly recognisable.

I am totally in love with Matt Smith *swoons* (even though Tennant is more my Doctor) and was so excited to find out who the companion was for this book! In Dr Twelfth (that’ll be Capaldi), the running joke as the Doctor chases Missy across time on an epic jewel robbery is her exasperation at his lack of interest in being walked through every detail of her “dastardly crime” – the Master/Missy character has always loved showing off the latest elaborate plan to enslave the universe. We wanted to give something back to these supporters so we’ve created the first official Hargreaves mash-up,” said Alastair McHarrie, licensing director of Sanrio licensing. It combines familiar elements of the television series (such as some Sontarans, and Graham affectionately referring to her as ‘Doc’) with the whimsical wit of the original Mr Men stories. These storybook mash-ups, written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves, combine the iconic storytelling of Doctor Who with the whimsical humour and design made famous by his father, Roger Hargreaves.Classic creatures the Silurians were here long before the human race and didn’t look too kindly upon our kind. Doctor Who meets Roger Hargreaves’ Mr Men in this series of fun and charming stories, written and illustrated by Adam Hargreaves. Following on from the success of these previous instalments, Adam Hargreaves has now brought the latest incarnation of the Doctor into the Mr Men universe. Nevertheless, I’d love to see Hargreaves‘ take on some of the characters and creatures the Thirteenth Doctor has encountered so far – perhaps a Mr Men T’zim Sha or a Mr Men Pting?

I’m just saying will a thirteen figure be a Doctor Who Little Miss Figure rather than a Doctor Who Mr Men Figure?

The greatest mash-up in the Whoniverse continues with this Christmas adventure starring the Tenth Doctor and fan-favouri. He assumed the role of bringing Mr Men and Little Misses into being after his father’s death in 1988, c reating new characters such as Little Miss Princess and Mr Cool, while taking the old favourites on further adventures into history and beyond. Mr Men publishers Sanrio Global and the BBC have just announced a collaboration that is sure to excited fans of the series. In August 2017 BBC Worldwide licensed Japanese toymakers Sanrio, in conjunction with Chelmsford-based brand and marketing specialists RP2 Global, to make Doctor Who Mr Men figurines. Later that year, on 6 November, a new book starring the then-recently debuted Thirteenth Doctor was released. Hargreaves admits to not having watched the show for “a very long time” before being approached about a book series, and confesses to having spent “an awful lot of time Googling”.
