About this deal
The MA1 provides a wireless connection to your car's existing Android Auto, making it even easier to get all your favorite apps on your car display. Wireless Android Auto has been around for quite a while now, but for ages, it felt like something that only a brand new car would solve. One drawback though it always connect your phone once you are inside the car ( it drains the phone battery). If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. It's unclear how Android OS updates might improve the MA1's performance, so that remains to be seen.
I settled on a spot next to the head unit screen because the pad seemed to stick best to the glossier surface.
Wireless Android Auto is a convenient feature, and judging by the popularity of the Motorola MA1 and AAWireless, it’s also something a whole lot of people want to get their hands on. That all changed with the arrival of wireless Android Auto dongles, and the Motorola MA1 dongle was pitched as the “easy” version, with a dead-simple experience and direct backing from Google. I'm pretty sure I read that the US Tucson has wireless AA, I'm not sure about the screen size, I just assumed it would be on the 10. In my case, I have a Pioneer aftermarket head unit installed in mine that has its own USB port by way of a separate cable that comes out near the glove compartment. If you're trying to add wireless Android Auto to your car, the Motorola MA1 is probably the simplest and most effective way to do it.
Once done, I could unplug my phone, plug in the MA1, and then have a wireless tether going to run the platform. Sad really but sometimes it’s good that others observe the same issues as it eliminates the potential that it’s your phone/case/car. Has anyone used AA Wireless, Carsifi or Motorola MA1 wireless adaptor dongles/receivers yet with the Astra K? It's always nice when a small device has one job to do because it's easier to set and meet expectations. All in all, it's a utility product that has one job to do, and when all goes well, it does that one job fairly well.
