About this deal

Emily's mother is coming for christmas but there's a catch, Emily has told her mum she has recently got married to stop her going on at her so she has to find a husband for christmas. It wasn’t a good enough reason to let a stranger into her house and for most of it she resented her dad anyway. Emily needs to Marry and fast, her mother is expecting her husband to be there at Christmas but there's a problem, she's not actually married. It was funny and entertaining, but also surprisingly sweet and emotional, and from the very first page I couldn’t put it down. Fans of Jo Thomas, Catherine Walsh and Philippa Ashley will love this heartwarming read from Carla Burgess.

Slow-burn, fake-dating, that you might think, 'there's a thousand books with that trope', and you're right. They express doubts about the relationship, questioning whether they truly want to be involved with their partner. Carla Burgess works her wonders and has the reader become immersed in a world that is so realistic you think you are watching a reality tv show. Sam and Emily both go from being lonely people who really have nothing but emotional scars to giving each other everything that they could ever want!Find support, ask questions, swap stories, and follow brides planning real weddings here on Weddingbee. The problem is they all think Sam has been off living the high life when he has actually been sleeping on the streets. After all, with a title like ‘Marry Me Tomorrow’, how can anyone let that go by them without reading it? A mutually supportive community where deeply emotional things you can't tell people you know can be told. I’ll admit, I surrendered to this book and became its page mistress after reading the first couple of pages!

Fans of Debbie Johnson, Holly Martin and Christie Barlow will love this heartwarming read from debut author, Carla Burgess ‘Funny and romantic, with a predictably good ending. I'll admit, I surrendered to this book and became its page mistress after reading the first couple of pages! Overall, "Marry Me Tomorrow" examines the complexities and illusions surrounding relationships, exploring themes of desire, control, abuse, and the unraveling of love. Emily accidentally told her mother that she was married and now with Christmas approaching and her mother coming to stay she has to go and find herself a man! I don't ask for a lot from het romance novels at this point, but as someone in the LGBT community, this one failed and gave me absolutely zero holiday cheer.Mum's a dismissive doll who marries for money and suddenly grows a strong opinion on the situation her daughter's in at various points of the story. A delightful Christmas read that will pull at your heartstrings and make you believe in happy endings. It's the best part of her day, handing him a coffee every morning - but then, Emily never expected to offer him her hand in marriage, too.

It’s a fun read on a chilly Sunday while you’re sitting in front of the fire, a mug of steaming cocoa by your side. Sam has a past, so does Emily and her Mum, it was nice for them to all have different backgrounds to show how their life events had affected their lives. I’d been writing a short story about a homeless boy at the time, and the idea for Emily asking homeless Sam to pose as her husband while her mother visits stemmed from there. If someone came up to me with a cup of coffee and asked me to do them a favour I would politely take the coffee and be miffed that they forgot the sugar! So many tough subjects are touched on in this fabulous book that managed to be both gritty and sweet.

So, to make life 'easier' for herself, COUGH, Emily told her mum that she got married when she actually hadn't. It’s the best part of her day, handing him a coffee every morning – but then, Emily never expected to offer him her hand in marriage, too… All that’s left is for Sam to say ‘I do’ – it’s the perfect plan!
