It is littered with black-lined illustrations and images that correspond perfectly to the item they accompany. I found it hard to keep this book for the new year, wanting to read through it before 2022 is even out. Packed full of information including key dates, tide tables, garden tasks, sunrises, moon phases, seasonal recipes, folk songs and more this beautiful little book will help you connect month by month with the seasons of Britain and Ireland. A little peek here and there led me to reading the book fully but I’ll still be reading it each month, as it’s honestly such an adorable book. In this bleak December, I'm hearted by the fact that we are approaching the Winter solstice tomorrow.An almanac is not designed to be consumed in one sitting, so I took one month at random to see what was on offer.
