Honey golden in colour, the nose is rich in well-balanced oak with hints of citrus peel and sherry, while the palate is medium-bodied, full Speyside fruitiness. We believe production of this Liqueur stopped sometime around 2008 and unfortunately for it's fans ever since it's been almost impossible to obtain. The brand has origins in Perth in central Scotlnd where founder Matthew Gloag was a wine merchant and impo. Scotland's favourite whisky was created in 1896 by Matthew Gloag, whose signature is still printed on every bottle of The Famous Grouse sold to this day. Shortly after, the very first logo and Label for the Whisky Bottle was designed, only at this point did the business expand to new purpose built premises on Kinnoull Street.The result created the smoothest possible character of whisky, being raised in the highlands; it is Scotlands favourite whisky.
