Next up we have the detachment for fans of the Cult Mechanicus, and this is another of my favourites! Overall they didn’t tweak as many of the dataslates as they did with Necrons, but GW did move some rules in stratagems over to units as a whole. Equally though, with a different army build you might rather sit back and get the benefits of +1 to hit from heavy. It grants all your SKITARII INFANTRY and MOUNTED units (plus your Ironstriders ) the Stealth ability, and also provides the Benefit of Cover to all SICARIAN units targeted by ranged attacks from more than 12” away.The Codex: Adeptus Mechanicus is an essential resource for those who command these metal-clad warriors in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. The next detachment is for people who want to lean into a force of sneaky Skitarii Infantry supported by Ironstriders and Cavalry. That is a fairly specific set of hoops to jump through, but the fact that this is just baseline good before you start getting clever with it means that the optional upside feels like a true reward, rather than something you have to do for it to be worth it at all.
