The mixer is very well made, the bowl locks on with ease and the top section lifts back with the pull of a lever making it very easy to check consistencies or change attachments. For those who are often in the kitchen (more than anywhere else), you’ll need one of the best stand mixers for all your sweet treats. Tools all attach easily, although I did have a few problems attaching the mincer - more extensive instructions would have been useful to explain the drive shaft must be in the correct place before you start. Although this is very useful, I find that some times more often than I would like to be honest it fails to start when I turn it. However, I am so disappointed that all the attachments do not fit including the K beater, whisk, dough hook, splatter guard, mincer, coffee grinder and can opener.So, if you have attachments for a previously loved Chef just bear in mind that they will not fit this machine.

I even gave it a real challenge with a greek christmas treat requiring professional beating and it gave an amazing result. Also a real pain if the stopper comes out and you mistakenly bin it while cleaning up without realising your left with Ali stable mixer which make an awful noise mixing when not balanced. After having a Major Kenwood for about 35 - 40 years which was in constant use, I am extremely disappointed in the Kenwood Prospero. It has a continuously adjustable speed setting so you can adjust to suit you not just what is preset as settings 1,2 and 3.If you have the patience the mixer will draw all the ingredients into the mix anyway a little spatula assistance just speeds up this process. The wire whisk is a little tricky to thoroughly clean, but the mixer itself is easy to maintain with a quick wipe down. The colour looks great It is heavy which means when you set it off on the highest setting, the machine doesnt end up walking across your kitchen work top like the cheaper stand mixer I owned.
