About this deal

Before his very first experience, he was rational, not so open-minded businessman, when one night he accidentally experienced OOBE and everything changed. For those who have read Robert Monroe's books already, along with books by other OBE authors, this is a fun book to read again because if you've already read the trilogy, and remember how the books cycle back to the first book, it brings a smile to your face when you hear Bob Monroe relate what he went through, knowing what comes later as he gains a better understanding of who he is. My earliest memory of hearing about out-of-body experiences (OOBEs) was, I think, in the early 1970s, about the same time this book was published. XX el mundo no estaba listo para esto, creo que cada vez se vuelve más escéptico, y yo podría incluirme si es que no me hubiera sucedido lo mismo.

Having taken one of the entry level courses from the Monroe Institute already, I felt like this section was a great way to follow that class with “meat and potatos” and I realized so many things I was doing wrong (distractions that inhibit results) and he did such a thorough job to lay out expectations of what success looks like. With more than 300,000 copies sold to date, this is the definitive work on the extraordinary phenomenon of out-of-body experiences, by the founder of the internationally known Monroe Institute. Not only the courage it took for Monroe to pursue these journeys, and not merely the care that he took with documenting his work, but the clear-and-cogent language of a map-making explorer. We all know that people dream, but we raise our children to regard dreams and other experiences occurring during sleep as unimportant, as not real in the way that the events of the day are. A persuasive and thought-provoking account of one man's experiences and experiments with traveling outside his own body.

I had a cell to myself for the entire 3 months, and I actually have a very fond memory of the experience, filled with solitude and a quietness that I did not know I would enjoy but did enjoy very much. There are some important exceptions to this general put-down of dreams, but for the vast majority of people in our society today, dreams are not things that serious people concern themselves with. I have had an interest in this genre for a number of years, and tried to focus on authors who are knowledgable in the area. This book is a first hand recording of the Out Of Body Experiences (OOBE) that businessman Robert Monroe encountered for the first few times.

Unfortunately for our peace of mind, there are thousands of instances, reported by normal people, of exactly this sort of occurrence. It is the closest thing (I’ve read so far) to a 1950’s-70’s era scientist applying scientific method to something ultimately denied by the scientific community. Some of his voyages to me suggested another plane where we're all unconsciously conversing with one another. I picked up this book on a whim, curious as to what the approach would be - mainly a fantastical re-telling or an interesting personal account? As he gets into some theories later in the book, stating that it’s a very loose idea that is for consideration, I felt an eery correlation with a few other unrelated bodies of work.Monroe for me was one of the best, easy to relate to as he constantly reassures the reader that it took him years to manifest all the results. And so there it is, take it for what it's worth oh, but I promised every reader here that it is the truth oh, what for whatever it's worth to you. Yo he tenido experiencias místicas también pero, con una sola excepción, no me he desdoblado jamás que me diera cuenta, básicamente porque me da miedo.

Robert Monroe afford those who dare the training wheels that act like wings for those few who desire to dive headlong into the abyss of spirituality and along the way he furnished a map of attainable states of awareness and various levels of existence. Instead he likes to make countless lists of facts from his stories to prove he was truly out of body. But it's odd enough that I've always felt it deserved a retelling, and what better place for it to be retold then here.

I could go into the circumstances of the crime, but suffice it to say that it was little more then a few dumb teenagers doing dumb teenager stuff and getting in serious trouble for it. The experiencer seems to possess his normal consciousness at the time, and even though he may reason that this cannot be happening, he will feel all his normal critical faculties to be present, and so knows he is not dreaming. He does not present himself as a spiritual guru or sensationalize the stories in any way, but rather describes his experiences as if observing them for a scientific study.
