About this deal

I think that Ito's best works are really his shorter stories because they have to be succint and really drive a horrifying point home in a short amount of time, and the ones that have several 'chapters' are never as good to me and seem to wander and ramble slightly. Where at first his connection to it all seemed too convenient from a storytelling angle, it became a great motivation for just how dogged Ryusuke becomes in trying to resolve the bizarre events unfolding. The next two tales are about "The Strange Hikizuri Siblings," a weird and off-putting family of nasty and spiteful orphans. While the premise and concept are very cool and similar to that of Uzumaki, I don't think the execution is nearly as good. The story’s quite atmospheric though and the creepy fog makes the narrow Japanese streets seem claustrophobic.

Nevertheless, upon graduation he trained as a dental technician, and until the early 1990s he juggled his dental career with his increasingly successful hobby — even after being selected as the winner of the prestigious Umezu prize for horror manga. Thank you so much to the publisher for providing me with this review copy in exchange for an honest review! Sometimes the feeling builds to some shocking revelation when you turn a page, but soon the shock will be followed by a panel or scene that's almost-hopeful.Lovesickness ( Lovesick Dead note also known as Undying Love and Intersection Fortune Telling) is a short horror manga series from the Kyoufu Manga Collection by Junji Ito, known for such works as Tomie, Uzumaki, Gyo, and The Enigma of Amigara Fault. Despite it being more moody noir and less outright horror than Ito's other collections, Lovesickness is one of my favorites, especially the collection of stories about the "Intersection Bishounen". Lovesickness by Junji Ito is the latest story collection by the horror manga author to be published in English by VIZ media. With the whole city in an uproar, a smug Midori tells him that the authorities are all looking for Ryuusuke, believing that he is the Intersection Bishounen.

He has a crush on his friend Midori, but is afraid to tell her that he feels he was responsible for the death of her aunt. The Mansion of Phantom Pain is also a decent story about a young man who gets a job at a rich person’s house where he has to relieve the man’s son’s pain that has somehow, invisibly filled the mansion. Lovesickness takes place in a town obsessed with fortune-telling, where citizens ask strangers at the crossroads what their fate will be. When she asks him if her relationship with the man will work out, he tells her it won't and runs away. Ryuusuke and his family moved away from Nanchou-shi ten years before, but are now coming back permanently.
