Even when there is potty humor in the book (though I was grateful that there was only one small potty humor part in this book since those are not my personal favorites). I read this book with my son (8) who is a huge fan and collects all InvestiGator's books--he absolutely LOVED it and can't wait to get his hands on a copy!

It is in the finish a fairly convoluted drama, but the style and everything is very amenable, the education and piratical fun will go down very well, and this will surely remain a decent entrant to this series. When a cruise captain is rescued after his ship goes missing, the coast gourd is suspicious, and the InvestiGators take the job. This is the seventh book in one of my seven-year-old son’s most favorite book series (The InvestiGators, which we both highly recommend to those who like fun graphic novels 😁). And this is one of those books I will be recommending to those who have middle-grade kids who “don’t like reading”.Two alligators, thus InvestiGators, are tasked with a new mission to find out why captain of a cruise ship ended up going crazy, and his passengers were missing. The Investigators series is a hit with boys and girls aged 7+ and covers themes like:- Teamwork- Resilience- Problem-solving. September officially marks summer’s end, but a new season brings brand new books to get excited about. You don't have to have read the other books in the series to be able to pick up this one and enjoy it, but they definitely build off of each other in more than just the footnotes way.

Simply bursting with youthful energy, crazy comedy, vibrant artwork and breathtaking creativity, InvestiGators is a visual and verbal delight… and guaranteed to please even the most reluctant reader!Thank you to First Second Books and Netgalley for this ARC - my almost-9 was absolutely thrilled to get this as an advanced copy! The story is hilarious, there are so many laugh-out-loud and snort-inducing moments, and the drawings are perfect.
