He counts a shot glass and two empty bottles in front of Logan, and a third half empty clutched in his palm before he even sits down. Logan hits the ‘up’ button and I watch as blinking lights start descending from the floors above us, catching Silas’s eye over Logan’s shoulder. The FMC is with the MMC in her dreams and thinks he's just a figment of her dreams, so it's complicated. I could kind of see this POV approach working better if narrator Eliza was like reflecting on past events, and also making commentary about character Eliza's actions/thoughts/whatever, but it just didn't work for me as the story is currently set up. But unless the sky suddenly becomes starless and there’s a tear in the cosmic thread, I may never be graced with keeping you from my darkness.
