I really enjoyed listening to Gyles narrating this book - was very interesting to see all the parallels between different generations.

After that, the biggest impression is how the Queen was in control of her emotions and how little she let people know what she was thinking and feeling.I absolutely loved this book from start to finish, I enjoyed reading about the Queens life from childhood until her last days, I liked reading about her relationships with her sister, her friends and those close to her. I've read this book promptly because an awful lot of it I have read in the Philip a final portrait book.
