In the end I had to pace myself and limit my reading time to just one chapter a day so I could savour it longer. Suddenly, Fox and Fibber find themselves on an incredible adventure in a glow-in-the-dark rainforest full of golden panthers, gobblequick trees and enchanted temples. I hope something similar happens because this book sometimes felt like Cressida playing the same cards for the third time. The O'Hero siblings K2 and Izzabird are sworn by their mother and aunts to keep the O'Hero family magical secrets from everyone including their step-siblings Theo and Mabel Smith and new step-father Daniel. Then the narrator of the story (we find out who this is at the end) takes us back in time to how this came to be, and it’s a totally thrilling tale which centres on what happens if the fantasy worlds children draw become real?Which Way to Anywhere is an amazing book, and I’m so excited to check out more titles from the author in the future.

Which Way to Anywhere suffers from the same issue, and most of the adult characters are captured early on, meaning they are names the reader is aware of, but we don’t know anything about them. This is my first read of Cressida Cowell's books and I can say the writing style so different from the usual book I've read.The notebook/diary pages she includes, the creature info posters she provides, the unexpected but very welcoming songs in the middle; all enrich the reading experience. Characters are alive and imperfect, providing a truly fantastic trajectory of growth and learning that readers will learn and grow from themselves.
