About this deal

My only complaint is that you cannot leave the guide locking screws in the fixed base of the router when storing in the case. Quote from: Dick Mahany on January 21, 2016, 04:26 PM Has anyone mounted a Bosch 1617 plunge router to the LR32 guide rail mounting plate?

About a month ago, I purchased a factory reconditioned Bosch 1617EVSPK Router Kit from CPO Outlets: Factory Reconditioned Bosch 1617EVSPK-RT 12 Amp 2. This current project is a good example- speaker cabinet front panels fabricated from hard rock maple ply. Quote from: aosty on January 22, 2016, 01:35 AM I've successfully squeezed a 1617 on to the LR32 plate without drilling. The router has a feel of solid design, cuts soft and hard woods like butter, no vibration and is quite. The only "problem" that I'm concerned about is that the plate seems to need weight where the plate hole is. Excelente, en lo personal me llegó antes de tiempo muy bien empacado con todos sus accesorios se ve de muy buena calidad lo usé solo una vez apenas pero se siente muy bien y por el precio me parece perfecto.

You can see two slots on the bottom black piece, with the 2nd one appearing a little wider which may fit the Festool rail. My Bosch hasn ’t seen a lot of use in 10 years, but has had two visits to the hospital to have the speed control replaced. As a professional, a lot is expected of you: speed, reliability, competence, endurance – in short: excellent results. The knobs are just trying to fasten the mdf to the plate and provide an attachment point for the aluminum piece that supports the rods that attach to the plunge base.I am using a Makita router rail attachment and making it work with my Bosch plunge base using another idea I found here. Router (1617EVSPK), plunge base (RA1166), fixed base (RA1161), fixed base chip shield, plunge base chip shield, 1/2-inch and 1/4-inch self-releasing collet chucks, comfortable forged 16-mm and 24-mm bit change wrenches, T-handle hex-height adjustment wrench, and rugged carrying case. I had considered hanging the router off of the splinter guard side, but not using a subbase to fasten it more securely to the router. Microfine bit-depth adjustment on the base, with an overall range of one inch and accuracy to 1/64 inch, allows for accurate and fast changes. Where some might find it lacking is having a comprehensive dust collection feature built in with a clear dust dust shield over the working area, like some DeWalt and Porter Cable 1/2" shank routers I own.
