bought this december 2022, i sprayed it and it smelt like harsh lemon cleaning product with pepper and i didnt like it so i just stopped using it. I'm writing this review because i just had a young lady ask for the name of what i was wearing cause she wants to get it for her dad. But as my collection of the Club de nuits grew I decided to get this one just so I've got it out of principle and then thought, well I may as well try it and. I bought the body spray because it smells almost the same as Mont Blanc Explorer which I have and I use them together.
It is black, but my little niggle is this means you are unable to see how much product is left in the bottle, a small niggle for an otherwise faultless, perfect product. And it does now smell very nice though some new bottles may need too sit and macerate for a while to smell better. Only been wearing it a half hour so can't comment on sillage or longevity BUT the scent is fantastic.With its top notes of Mandarin Orange, Mint, and Grapefruit, middle notes of Cinnamon, Cloves, Ginger, and Pepper, and base notes of Amber, Spicy Notes, Leather, Patchouli, and Woody Notes, this fragrance exudes confidence and style. Get the EDP or parfum instead, I've tried the EDT and EDP Side by Side and the EDP smells less-chemical-like and more pleasant than the EDT. Longevity: I sprayed this in the morning at 7AM, 2 sprays on the back of my neck and the middle of my throat.I have the 06/2023 batch, performance is decent, I applied 5 sprays and only after 7-8 hours it started to fade.
