About this deal

He was a man of simple means and a hard working blue collar worker and this was his go to fragrance. I could easily imagine myself carrying around a little bottle in my bag to freshen up during a hot day in the city or the next conference I attend, especially since it's so inoffensive to spray, even around my slightly fragrance sensitive partner. I do realize that I might have a TOTALLY different perspective on 4711, and ALL citrus/strong/clean scents, if it were not for this association, I may like even ONE of this fragrance type.

I also find this to be perfectly unisex as it doesn’t lean feminine or masculine and for being the oldest cologne out there I didn’t expect this to smell as modern. In 1921, they introduced Tosca, a perfume for women based around the newly-created concept of aldehydes—organic compounds formed by the oxidation of alcohol. Which may sound like fun to us now, but must have presented considerable disadvantages in everyday life. Not many cultures have kept alive the cologne splash, but some Mediterraneans still know what to do with such a fragrance.

This means that everyone has the right to sell a fragrance described as "Original Eau de Cologne" – provided they comply with this stipulation.is the shortest-lived fragrance ever, I think - if it lasts more than 15 minutes on my skin, it's a lucky day - but those 15 minutes are really glorious: a blast of citruses, truly invigorating, mixed with the dark floral sweetness of rose and jasmine, and rounded up with some subtle earthy notes (which I think come from the oakmoss, that even at IFRA concentration, must be über-strong compared to everything else). You just need to realize that it is not a cologne meant for others; it is a 'me' cologne that is meant for you to enjoy.
