About this deal

The Ranger S2 back carrier is suitable for babies children between 6 months and 3 years of age (up to 20kg in weight). Any amounts you have been charged will be repaid to you by way of credit to your account within 14 days.

When the child is in this carrier, they sit in a higher position than the person wearing it, so you do have to be mindful of door frames and low tree branches. The baby carrier backpack adjusts easily and the inclusion of a front bumper dribble pad is ingenious – even better is that it can be removed and washed. With a mission to give parents the confidence to explore further with their little ones, Littlelife has developed award-winning products which use innovative materials and ergonomic designs to ensure your child can enjoy the great outdoors comfortably and safely. This carrier has updated its fabrics throughout and has a newly designed face pad for the comfort of you and your Little Trekker.I couldn’t see her very well when I turned my head but the added security was worth it, as she did not send me off-balance even when she leaned to one side. Yes, the base of the carrier is very narrow and I felt as though I was carrying a normal rucksack - it was easy to forget there was anyone in the back. The oval-tubed frame cleverly maintains shape but was fiddly to feed through the material and not something I’d want to do in a sudden downpour.

What would be a brilliant addition to this product is a stand or extra leg that would convert the carrier into a self-standing chair for rest/lunch breaks; as it is, the carrier does not stand upright without an adult's foot on the anchor point.

Don't just take our word for it, this child carrier won the Mumsnet Best Budget Baby Carrier Backpack in 2018. The first time I put my child in the carrier she was wearing dirty wellies and it was filthy when I lifted her out. I think this could be tricky on public transport, potentially needing to duck to avoid knocking her head.

I’ve tried carriers with a more conventional seat and found my children’s bent knees stuck awkwardly into my back so the Littlelife was a real improvement. I feel it's best suited for people who want to use it outdoors where there are less overhead hazards. I wouldn't have felt comfortable using in a town, going through lots of doors and getting on and off public transport, but it was great in the open air.LittleLife is a British company dedicated to designing products to help families make the most of the great outdoors.
