I love a bit of BL but I have never read a story that manages to be on ASOIAF level of character and world building.

This epic historical fantasy about a prince and the mysterious man by his side is now in English, for the very first time. That leads us to the arc in which He Xuan after successfully infiltrating as a heavenly official for years success in luring both brothers to his domain. And being completely honest, there's not much of their relationship actually in the book (unless you're truly desperate, which I guess we are, lol). But another one of the Four Calamities may be closer than anyone knows, and even a ghost as powerful as Hua Cheng can lose control under the right circumstances. On the romance front, I'm still lukewarm on that, mostly because I can't really see how it's going to pan out unless Xie Lian abandons everything he believes and stands for.They had their godhood taken away, their best friend turned out to “hate” them, and they watched their brother get his head torn off right in front of them by said best friend. I love the brocade immortal story because we get villain Ling Wen and get to see a differing side of her and her story. And it just makes me so sad when you realize how much he’s suffered even in something as small as this that he doesn’t know what the touch of someone who doesn’t want to hurt or use him feels like. He roughly pinned Xie Lian down on top of the jade table, scattering ink, paper, and brushes across the floor.

Yeah, I know he's actually kind of a villain, not my fault I like to collect poor little meow meows, but he has such a potential as a charachter. He Xuan planned his revenge extremely meticulously and finally came upon the chance to right a wrong. Trading Address (Warehouse) Unit E, Vulcan Business Complex, Vulcan Road, Leicester, Leicestershire, LE5 3EB. That just hurts because he has suffered and been alone for 800+ years and hasn’t even felt the simple emotion of true happiness.

But those who rise, can also fall… and fall he does, cast from the Heavens again and again and banished to the mortal realm. Shi Qingxuan has to live with the memory of what his brother did and has to suffer life as a mortal with the knowledge and vivid memory of his brothers death. Caught up in the struggle, Xie Lian's hand accidentally skimmed past the cinnabar dish stationed on the table, smearing crimson marks across the paper underneath him. It really pissed me off that he all of a sudden turned on Shi Qingxuan and started to choke them and say that they can’t live without him anyway so they may as well die with him. Shi Wudu switched his brother's fate (doomed by the Reverend of Empty Words to end in disaster) with a man who was destined to ascend to the heavens, and it came back to bite them both big time.

I’m not sure how much of this was his honest feelings and how much of it was to draw He Xuan’s attention off of Shi Qingxuan. Watching your beloved be trampled and ridiculed with your own eyes and being unable to do a thing about it.I won't give a way too much but the way the series unwinds and connects all the characters and stories is unparalleled. The Venerable of Empty Words, a monster that feeds off the fears of the fortunate, is hunting Xie Lian’s friend, the Wind Master Shi Qingxuan. but the moment he opened his eyes, he found himself staring squarely into Hua Cheng's own widened ones. So many amazing scenes - the coffin scene every fanfic is written about, the make out session that's depicted on the cover, as well as so much horror and sadness when it comes to other characters. Poor besotted fool asks him to marry him and then covers it with a joke 😅😅 I mean, I'd be confused too.

I was just so happy to see what I thought were girlfriends and then later on what I thought were boyfriends.The Reverend of Empty Words, a monster that feeds off the fears of the fortunate, is hunting Xie Lian's friend, the Wind Master Shi Qingxuan. AAAHHHHH IVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT SINCE I STARTED THIS BOOK AND IT WAS FINALLY HERE AND FUCK YOU DRAGON BITCH (look at me cussing a dragon sorry darius i love you tho ❤️) OR WHOEVER IT WAS FOR COCKBLOCKING MY LOVES. Before he could utter another word, Hua Cheng grabbed him by the shoulders and leaned down into a kiss.
