About this deal

This is the MP110 but there is the less expensive offering , the MP100 and the MP150 , MP200 all the way up to the 1,000 dollar offering . No, it doesn’t have captive nuts and so it was a little fiddly, but hey this stuff isn’t rocket science. Only reviews that feature the label "Verified Review" have been checked to ensure that the author actually used or purchased the product. The MP110 has the really nicely balanced tone that makes the whole Nagaoka range up to the MP500 prized by many. For jazz and classical I could easily live the MP-200 and never feel the need to hear anything better.I have both, and agree the 95ML is better, however, I also have the MP200 and in that case I prefer the 200s sound signature, but since it still uses a poor stylus I still rock the 95ML at the very least until I can retip a Micro stylus onto my MP200. Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. I have heard most of its major competitors in person and can honestly say you'd have to spend twice the money to do better. The ONLY issue I had was the power indicator LED and I suspect it was the 7815 power regulator that was at fault, but it didn't help that I also ended up shorting out the cap behind it and killing off my first good meter, the Cen-Tech unit I bought from Harbor Freight.

Everything I have played using it has been wonderfully controlled and tight, with a very detailed image.

In comparison, my memory of the Ortofon 2M Red (on a different table, mind you) was of a rougher sound. Only a few minutes and I believe you two have potentially answered the question that has been bugging me. But its simple bonded elliptical stylus doesn’t give as much fine detail or the same guarantees of no inner groove distortion (igd) as the VM95ml. The muffsy will be the most expensive option but I am hoping after burning myself and lots of cussing, it will be the most rewarding.

If your records are in rough shape or you don't have a real cleaning system for used records, I would stay away.

There hasn’t been a noticeable drop in sound quality but I fear it could develop into a problem soon in the future.

I initially played the Nagaoka through an inexpensive phono stage and found it a little too detailed and harsh. I personally think that you'll enjoy more the VM95ML than the MP-110, especially if your records' inner tracks have loud or complex passages and if you wish to get a clean presentation free of distortion. For AT, well, I like the VM95SH just a bit more than the ML, but neither are a pimple on a Nag to my ears. We found its square casing easy to fit and align, and from the outset our sample gave a bright, immediate sound that would work well in pepping up a dull system. When I A/B the recordings made with the MP110 and 2m Red, I can hear a fairly obvious difference in the high end. ive got multiple tables set up in my system and ive been finding myself gravitating to the q2 stuffed with modeling clay and the vm95ml.
