You get the speed of standmounts the low frequencies of floorstanders = a better sound balance (supposedly). I used the optical input on the back to connect my TV, and everything got better — I could hear dialogue better, soundtracks were more present, and the sub made sound effects more immersive. As you can see, Kanto has done a great job of covering the basics providing good quality and appropriate amplification.

Midrange: This is where the YU4’s really shine, with great separation the midrange is given space to breathe and has plenty of insight and detail. Having the built-in phono preamp is a feature we love, as many beginners don’t want to contend with having an extra component.
