To start, nine letters have been placed in the grid – the solver must calculate the correct position of each of the remaining 16 letters. With the Uber-Gogen, some of the given letters aren't in the clue words so you can't pin them down so easily. However, easy though they might be, there is a darker side to them - two types of Gogen puzzle that takes anywhere from a bit more thought right through to down-right difficult: the Uber-Gogen with deliberately omitted letters in the clues; and, the Ultra-Gogen where there are fewer and fewer clue letters in the puzzle, increasing in difficulty until there are only two puzzle letters left. There are Gogens and then there are Uber- and Ultra-Gogens and whilst this book does not concern itself with the former, an UltraGogen with only two letters given away will take you well over an hour to do and in this graded book, you can choose your won level of difficulty and work you way up to the really hard ones at your own pace. The X-Gogen books have one hundred puzzles - 25 each of UberGogen, UltraGogen, HyperGogen and HyperGogen+. If I remember correctly I made it as an image on my Google drive and it was not possible to get the lines horizontal and vertical.

Solving it: going one cell at a time, up down left right diagonally, use the letter clue in the puzzle grid and step through the pseudowords to work out the positions of the remaining letters so that you have the letters a.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average.
