About this deal

They had such diverse personalities and back stories that added a lot of depth to their characters as well as their relationship.

I read a lot of fact-based books about cybersecurity, a field where the truth is often more unbelievable than fiction. You literally don’t know what the hell is going on right from the very start of this novel, all the way until the very end.The show turned out to be a big hit, quickly landing in the Netflix Top 10 TV Shows in the US after its August 19 premiere on the streaming service. Hopefully this is going to become a series because I desire some answers and clarity, please and thank you. However, it doesn't answer half of the questions that you will have, but it does set up for a sequel. Man, the synopsis really didn’t do this book any justice, giving the reader the barest of bare-bones ideas of what Echoes is really about.

She survives for several months and escapes with the help of a German soldier who says her loves her. Here Amadea will find a renewed sense of purpose, taking on the most daring missions behind enemy lines. The story bounces between the island and a city, but neither one really give any clues as to how and why Miles and Fiona find themselves on an island. I did want to know what happened to them, but since that wasn't really answered, I feel like I wasted all the time I invested in this book. Each design is accompanied by an essay discussing its inspiration and why they have been so important to Susan. Saying that Mallory didn’t question enough the moral, ethical or lawful implications of their hacking instead, she trusted Asher’s judgment. After their plane crashed on a deserted island on their way to Berlin, Fiona and Miles need to find out what happened because it seems their plane crashing wasn’t an accident.

But there were some things that held me back from rating it as such (discussed below in the Cons Section, if you are interested). After the war, she goes back to Germany with her husband Antoine and her two-year-old daughter Amadea. At first, it seems like two separate storylines, and I wasn’t sure which one was real, but it ultimately resolves clearly, so stick with it. Binchy gives us a sense of wanting to be part of this community that looks out for one another and watches each other grow.Subplots revolve around Clare's teacher, whose brother Sean, a priest, has married and had children with a Japanese woman but is unable to obtain a laicization from Rome; Clare's brothers, who go to work in England and one of whom ends up in jail; and upper-class summer visitors from Dublin who become involved with the locals in intimate ways. That’s not to say that some of those references are still not there, but over time, Netflix really wanted to expand the idea and make it more universal because they really saw the potential for international appeal. I really enjoyed the way she confronted her own issues and fears, fears for her family, and the black, white or grey nature of hacking. Though that is me hoping upon hoping upon wishing every wish that there will be a sequel because omigosh I NEED MORE! They were two teens that disliked each other but found themselves tossed together under dire circumstances.

I received an advance review copy of this book via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. As part of a hacktivist group known as the Forum, Mallory is far more at ease among the codes and hidden identities of her online world than she has ever been in the real one ― but when other hackers suddenly begin to go missing, that online world starts to feel a lot less safe. From Susan :I hope the book provides you with many things you would like to knit and that you will turn to this book again and again and that it will become as dog-eared, worn and loved as any novel that has been read and re-read. In one, she is trying to survive senior year, balancing OCD and social anxiety with looking after her troubled family. There were a few times I had to go along with something I didn't believe or agree with, but it was necessary to keep the story moving forward. But unfortunately some of those questions never got answered, the ending leaves you hanging without wrapping up some pretty important plot points. Thus begins a harrowing journey of survival, as she escapes into the heart of the French Resistance.
