While I really like how well the U2 Pro does at picking up pet hair, it isn't a completely perfect device. That main brush can get quite tangled with hair and fibers, but thankfully the brush is easy to remove and simple to clean. It has really good suction, but it has never filled to capacity in one go due to the larger dustbin. Simply pop on or off the cleaning cloth plate to easily switch between vacuum and mopping functions. It prevents hair from getting tangled up in the main brush so you won’t have to frequently cut away hair that is stuck in the brush.At no time did it suck any part of a mat, even a bathmat, into the machine but glided over it and left it spotless apart from edges and corners and that will always be a challenge. Bottom line: It won't have the fancy features of more expensive robot vacuums, but it does an excellent job of picking up pet hair and other debris out of your floors. It seemed like it sprayed out water onto the bottom of the water reservoir, and then pressed it against the ground with the weight of the unit and just dragged it across the floor. When it would finish, the dust bin would be packed in full, and if I ran it again, I was never informed.

Something about the brush's design really does reduce the amount of hair that gets wrapped around it. Then you're pretty much ready to go, its great how the manufacturer has taken time to really make this process simple, I think I was up and running within 10 minutes (I'm new to robot vacuums and have had no past experience of Ecovacs). The better your problem and question is described, the easier it is for other ECOVACS owners to provide you with a good answer. Max and Max+ mode were incredible, we vacuum at least once per week, yet all these modes filled up six dust bins worth of material.The extra 800ml Dustbin is specially designed to handle pet hair, even during shedding season the XL Dustbin can hold large volumes so that no need to repeatedly empty out your robot's dustbin. Overall, we could not be happier with this vacuum, from mopping tiles, vacuuming hardwood floors, thick plush rugs and Berber/loop pile carpet. During our testing, the U2 bumped into chairs and table legs in our test space during every cleaning run, extracting itself from within this obstacle course the same way a bumper car would – awkwardly bumping back and forth until it was free.
